Carrots really are a must, but could other random "junk" come out too on rare occasion? Maybe potatoe chips? Broken remote controls? Money/coins? A sock? A pen? Or something useful, but really rare? It could be a simple or complicated as you want I guess. Lost Content, help find it a home! |

hey, I found a nice little story about a decorating norn. It contained some things that could be made into agents:Grendel hide loveseat, ettin-fur comfy chair, and bramboo table and chairs. Just wondering if they 'could' be made into agents. |

I'm not sure the Grendel-hide couch should be so complicated. Let's stick with regularly vended mouldy carrots, an occasional lost sock and maybe a potato chip as a rare, 'surprise' item? I just think simple is more effective, and it'd be truer to what's written too. As for the edible crayons, what if they grew from a seed packet, in purple, orange, green and yellow? The Hand could plant them by dropping them on the ground; a waxy addition to any homely C12DS garden! |

I added the Grendel-Hide Couch and the Edible Crayon Seeds to the list first, just because they're the ideas that have been discussed the most so far. This doesn't mean that we won't get around to talking about the other items suggested and adding those on too. |

Why would we stop the atomizer! Prety soon in your dreams you'll be hearing the words "I'll be back...". It could be like a sludge gun! Ony shoot clear blobs and on contact make an explosion efect! Sound wise and Image wise. As for the Tea vendor, It sould vend many tea packets! Each one giving diferent nutrients! Yumm! and you know that berry flask in Terra Reborn Well it should come with a cup that when you push the cup when a packet's right next to it it will make that flavord tea! Actually, my thought on the tea vendor was that it would simply dispense cups of tea. We could probably use different colored cups to tell the flavors apart. Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone. |

What flavors would the tea-vendor have? Would it come with milk, sugar, and as any gentleshee would have with his or her tea, cookies? What sort of sprites? I recommend a sort of steampunk look. Also, do the crayons grow in the ground like carrots, or on a plant as it's seeds? |

This topic is becoming a bit redundant. Please don't repeat suggestions unless you're discussing it's features. Also, in that respect, keep it simple. I want to do this agent pack, but I've got other projects going on, and it's just getting a bit crazy with all the silly features...I'm not gonna remake everything the Ask Laura column ever mentioned in one go, nor will I go to any extremes. This pack is supposed to be cute and simple, not complicated and bothersome. So no, I'm not gonna make a whole ecosystem of crayon plants that grow out of couches that are eaten by piranhas, turned into sushi, and make rainbow farts come out of doozers. Let simple and fun be the theme here. All I want to see in this topic is a list of all the *major* *useful* or *cute* items from Ask Laura. Maybe five to seven things, max. Also, the only person who should touch the Wiki is Laura or myself. She will have the final say in what is approved or not. It's her column, and her ideas, after-all. I just got off a night shift, so sorry if this comes across a bit grouchy, but I'm just trying to be straight-forward. Laura and I both appreciate the enthusiasm, but let's try and keep it sensible. This pack should be more iconic than anything. |

*Bursts into giggles again*  I happen to completely agree with everything Moe's said. I am so grateful that he's offered to create the Ask Laura Items Pack, in his spare time, and ontop of everything else he's busy with (C2toDS, anyone?). He's been awesome, not to mention patient, and so I don't want his job made difficult and confusing. With this in mind, I've taken the liberty of 'spring cleaning' the Wiki page by removing all of the items that haven't been discussed properly yet. Please let's discuss each idea and its features constructively first, before we start adding them to the list. And let's focus on ideas one at a time please? I'm sorry if I also sound grouchy, but everything was starting to make me feel very exasperated, and I was close to walking away from the Items Pack. Moe's post has come as a relief, as I am the last person who doesn't want these agents to be brought to life.</rant> Now. If nobody objects, let's talk about the Tea Shee's Tea Vendor next. The Tea Shee has become a rather iconic character in Ask Laura, hasn't s/he? As a starting point, and keeping with the fun and simple theme, I'm all for xrainxofxbloodx's suggestion of the vendor just dispensing mini teacups of different colours, with each colour depicting a different flavour. |

I'm not sure how easily this can be done in C3/DS, but would it be possible to have mugs and perhaps a teapot as seperate agents? I'm thinking here of how the honeypots and test tubes in C2 worked, you were able to fill them up under the bee hive/lab apparatus. If it isn't a nightmare to programme I think the motions of literaly *pouring* your norns a cup of good, hot chai would be very sweet. This also sounds like it might be a programming nightmare, but It'd be great if you could inject several mugs into the world with randomly assigned colours, then each norn could have his own mug! To keep it simple, perhaps the vendor itself should just be one big, old fashioned, kitch-looking teapot, which dispenses different coloured, different flavoured teacups when clicked. I love the teapot-pouring idea, I'm just not sure how hard it would be to implement. We need Moe or AquaShee to shed some light on this.  |

Oh, that'd be easy as pie, really. Personally I envision a tea set with 3-4 cups, a teapot and a little table. Then the hand can pour some tea in each cup, which thirsty norns can then take from the table and drink up. The Community Scribble: make (y)our own metaroom! |

I personally think it would be nice if the different teacups had more of a different look than just having different colors. Like for example, one teacup could look plastic and another could resemble fine china? Just a suggestion. Another suggestion could be that each different cup could only give a creature a certain amount of sips? Like say the fine china cup could give a very low amount before it breaks? And the plastic cup could be more durable? Again, just a thought. |
