So I left my C3/DS running all day long and when I came back last night, I saw this dead Norn and checked on her. I found out she had become pregnant 5 hours after she had died?! How is that even possible? ![[nquestion] [nquestion]](/images/smilies/emot_question.gif)
Why are so many mixed breeds like this? I'm sure they've got a genome that doesn't crossbreed well, but why this? The baby creature has all Banana Norn features except for the head, regardless of the parents, and when it hatches, it's comatose for less than a second before it dies.
It is indeed possible to play the Creatures games across multiple monitors, however, it's only really worth it with the first two, as they have large open worlds instead of metarooms. Also, in Creatures it seems the hand glitches up whenever it moves to the second screen, unfortunately.
Oops? ![[ntongue] [ntongue]](/images/smilies/emot_tongue.gif)
| I love some of the colors and sprite mixes I've been getting from these guys. When I made my test world, I hadn't planned to keep creatures there. However, I forgot to disable the Ettin and Grendel egg layers, which caused the Grendel egg layer to hatch a Colortrue Norn with Gargoyle Norn sprites. Rather than export the little guy, I hatched a partner for him and moved the two to C12DS, where they had many eggs.
Then, I added two more Colortrue Norns for genetic variety, and the rest is history. They almost make me want to run the test world when I have nothing to test. |
A very artistic glitch.
Just another day in the Universal Hub. They really seem to love playing with that door all day since they even forget to eat! ![[ndoh] [ndoh]](/images/smilies/emot_doh.gif)
Can someone please tell me why this always happens in this exact spot?
So, I was examining the dead Norns in my Wolfling Run, and I came across these two old-timers resting in peace together with what would appear to be their egg at first glance. On further examination, the egg isn't actually theirs, but still.
A stillbirth Norn who came out with her hands on her face like she was crying herself to death in the egg. ![[nscared] [nscared]](/images/smilies/emot_scared.gif)
I think that, judging by the position of this Norn's head, we all know how he died, and no, it was not the Hand that did it.
Looks like our creatures have gotten themselves into quite a bad situation! ![[nscared] [nscared]](/images/smilies/emot_scared.gif)
| Here’s how the player can interact with ecosystem:
- Tap on a critter to wake it up
- Critters can’t be drag & dropped directly, but it is possible to move them like decoration elements after clicking on the corresponding icon on the interface allowing you to move / sell agents
- Small critters (such as insects) generally can’t be interacted with
- …but some can still be drag and dropped (for example, fishes)
- …and you can still tap on some other ecosystem-related things, such as bee nests
And here’s how the Norns can interact with it:
- Even though the players can’t interact with every insect, Norns can. Sometimes they hit or eat some insects, which you can reward or punish.
- Flowers, mushrooms & grass patches grow naturally and are randomly placed.
- Ecosystem varies depending of the environment. For example, the Hatchery consists mostly of flowers and butterflies. Thus, placing an insectivore critter may be a bad idea as butterflies tend to stay out of reach (yes, you can see the critters eating grass / insects)

My entire Wolfling population has been gathered here for the past ten minutes, fixated on a single bee that became trapped in the elevator. They are completely obsessed with trying to eat it. Or as they say: "flib badbug".
This Ettin has found true happiness after gathering all the gadgets in the Ark.
