Oh, well then, looks like I didn't need to go quite that in-depth on my info page.
Hi, I'm Bisa!
I've been playing Creatures games (mainly C3 and a tiny bit of C2) for all my life and recently gained interest again. I'm very interested in Game Design so after a while I got curious about the technicalities and inner workings of the games to see how this, especially for the time, rather complex simulation of life worked and after looking around a bit, I ended up finding this place!
I'm looking forward to sharing and enjoying my shenanigans with everyone! ^^ |

I loved this game as a kid. Even had an account here, but I'm not telling you what the name was because I was a dork. I only ever played C3/DS |

Hey all, I've been a long time lurker, finally decided to get back into playing C2 & C3. I play mostly C2, but since most of the tools I've seen are out of date, I'm slowly making the switch to C3/DS.
I love meeting new people almost as much as I love bats, so don't be afraid to say hi!

Good evening!
I'm Eimear, and I recently Googled "Creatures game" on a whim, half-remembering a game we got free with out first PC back in about 2001. I have been looking for something complex to get stuck into as I've been ill for months and I'm in bed a lot. I've only just begun again, from the very beginning, with Creatures 1. I didn't remember anything from playing the game as a child, so I'm practically coming at it for the first time!
Nice to meet you all!
I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm having my fun and that's all that matters.
I'm false-dawn over on Tumblr. |

Hello!
I loved the games growing up. I was about 4 years old, the first computer game I ever really loved was Creatures Playground that my mom had picked up for me when she was in Germany. At around 10 years old or so, we came across Docking Station and Creatures 3, so I played those a lot. A few years later I bought C1 & C2 for kicks and played them a little bit. I'm now mostly interested in programming which has sparked my interest in Creatures again, especially after finding out it (or at least C3) was coded in C++, which is the course I have been taking. I'm excited to take a shot at creating some agents and maybe more! |

Hello everyone!
I recently re-bought Creatures 2 on GOG after realizing my disk was scratched and scuffed beyond repair. I've been playing C2 (and later dabbling with C3/DS) for 18-19 years now - saying that makes me feel old. XD After scurrying around the internet trying to find old COBs and breeds I had years ago, I found myself back here! Amazing (and delightful) that CC still exists.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all around!

Hello I'm not exactly new to the forums but new as a user
I've snooped around here for years really and came back to snooping when buying the whole series of creatures games on GOG.com last year
Now decided to finally make an account and maybe share my thoughts, issues, comments and good memories of all games here
I mainly play Creatures Exodus really or a creatures game for the PS1 due to utter nostalgia
Maybe television streaming service and lower the temperature |

Hello all! I'm someone who played Creatures 1 as a little boy when it came out, and found C3/D's on Hog.com. This wonderful website and community were my first resource for help, and am forever indebted to the developers of the C12ds patch and all of the brilliant geneticists who have worked to make this game as colourful and magical as it is.
I have zero experience programming, but as a creative person, I would love to learn the CAOS language and producethings for others too enjoy as well. I'm happy that there seems to be a lot of us still, playing with the game and still modding it. I feel like half of the game's mystique is its unpredictability, and the other half is the game's unlimited nature. Hello all! |

I'll take the opportunity to say hello here, too.
I'm usually hanging around in IRC and am more of a lurker here. Now I'm starting to read into genetics of Creatures 3 and thought I'd say hello while I'm here.
I Started playing Creatures 1 as a child, after my brother found a trailer of the game and got me interested because of the AI. Played a lot of Creatures 2, Creatures 3 & Docking Station after that. Kept returning to C3&DS (and sometimes C2) after long pauses every once in a while since then.
Soo... Hello. |

Hello Jeeminee and Namiraja.
I am also new but a bit older than the 2 of you
Im at least a couple of weeks older
Hi im veevveeza, you can call me Veev or Veevee, ive been playing creatures ever since i was 4,I played every single creatures game (except docking station) and it was really fun, creatures is one of the only games that has a certain little feeling when you play it, most of the u.i's are very intelligent and do lots of things on their own,and only now have i found a cite for that.
Veemo to all!

Hello everybody! I'm so happy that I'm not the only person still obsessed with this game
My name is Emily and I'm a writer who is hoping to put together an article About Creatures so I'll be popping in here with lots of questions. I'm finding I have a lot of trouble with norns forgetting how to eat, and eventually starving to death. I hope to learn more about the programming/genetics end of Creatures. Is there a special thread for that?
Thanks and look forward to meeting you all!

Hi Emily! You might like to check out the creatures.wiki, which will be 14 years old in December, for a fair whack of information. I'm not sure that there is a special thread for programming/genetics: we tend to separate object/world programming and genetic engineering out as different talents. Please feel free to make a new thread asking about what you'd like to know!

Hey all!
I'm a life-long fan of Creatures 1 (played 2 a bit as well), but I recently found this forum. Really happy there is an active Creatures forum in 2018 <3 I already posted most of my background in the "how did you find Creatures" poll, but long story short, I'm a twenty-something who two years ago moved to the eastern U.S. from the west, and I've been doing my best to fit in to a new area. I guess it helps to have my favorite games to fall back on. I have various interests in the fields of music, animation, games, cooking, and all things cute and creepy. And I love cats.
Creatures has always fascinated me with its inner workings, and I'm actually working on a short video project with some clips I took of the game and my voiceover to let some people know about it. Hopefully I can inspire at least one new person to try it out! |

Hello!
I'm an old fan of this series, Creatures 2 was one of the first games I ever played as a kid. Since discovering the re-releases of these old gems on GOG I've been slowly getting back into this old series, especially with C3/DS.
A lot has changed for me since I discovered this series - I'm much older than the bewildered 6 year old I once was. But I'm hoping now that I've grown I can finally give back to the community I loved so much, and I'm very glad to see there are still people out there who remember this series.
I'm only just now getting back into the swing of things, and I'm about to start my last few semesters of college so time may be an issue for my hobbies, but I hope to soon start making my own mods here. I won't make any promises, since I have very little experience with actually creating mods for games, but I think this will be a great place for me to start. I want to come back to my roots in computing as I enter a new stage in life.
