I have nine plus a camper that has not yet moved in but will, not sure if that counts as 10 technically?
Either way, i have no other villagers in the void, so let me know if you still need to clear it.

Campers don't count. You're only safe if you have 10 villagers living in your town. Otherwise, you may end up with the one I have in my void.

Apparently the next update is going to allow use of the amiibo cards and a few new villagers are going to be added via using those cards... and they're part of a collab with the creators of hello kitty. And they're gonna live in RVs.

I think it's cool that they're still adding things to the game... >-> But its too bad they cant' patch out that stupid grass deterioration that keeps me from wanting to play.

I love the grass deterioration. I make a lot of paths using it

I'd be SO sad if they removed it. Especially since I don't create new characters to place down patterns as paths at all. I don't like the look of those and I don't like having a second character just for those pattern-spots. If I create a second characters it's to play, not to be storage-mule. And if they removed the grass deterioration, then I wouldn't have a way of making my paths.

Maybe they could make an item to deteriorate grass? xD I just hate being unable to walk on my grass. Or make it only deteriorate after running on it a ton... something. >>

Or an item that makes the grass not deteriorate? Or a PWP that has that effect? I feel like I'm already running a ton on my grass to make the paths come up, several weeks of running loads of times a day and then it starts to show. Once it's showing it goes quickly, but to get to that point takes a lot of running and is quite frustrating that you have to work so hard to get a natural path.

I think part my problem is that I have a lot of anxiety and I constantly worry grass is deteriorating when it's not really deteriorating. I never run on my grass but I swear in my first town I made the grass totally died around one villagers house. Within a few weeks.

Like the natural grassless areas spread like some kind of plague. O-O

At least when it rains it grows back for you

When it rains for me I have to run extra much on my paths for them not to poof xD

I do wish the natural grassless areas could be moved or something, because, I don't mind dirtpaths, and I can put pwp's on some of the grassless patches, or a house, but on some it's impossible to fit in things!

Oh wow :O In my town it rains a LOT, especially september month was very heavy rain. Almost every day. If you get tired of waiting for it to rain I can keep an eye out for next rainy day and you can come visit to catch the Coelacanth

Awesome. I am usually pretty good at telling silhouettes apart. Time spent learning the difference between the big Sea Bass silhouette compared to like, say, the Blue Marlin should help me out.

<< I miss the days of the Gamecube version. One summer I made a new town and earned the statue for paying off my house in a week's time due to quite a few rainy days.

I miss the gamecube version too! But then I load it up again and it just frustrates me a lot since it's not optimized at all x.x Having to mail off fossils to have them checked and the inventory is small and you can't donate more than one at a time to the museum. But it's such a cute game! And at the same time as it frustrates me, I love it lol

I miss the balls from the gamecube version too those were fun to kick around! I also miss being able to ask for work from the villagers. I dunno why they haven't added that back in.

Doing work for them is still kind of in the system, except now the villagers ask you to do favours for them. It could be collecting fish/bugs or trading furniture or delivering packages to other villagers for them

Oh I know. I just miss being able to just ask instead of waiting for the RNG to let me do them a favor.

I spent hours in Population Growing just running around my town and asking them if they needed anything done.

I hate random stuff like that. >-> And getting public work projects can be a pain too. ESPECIALLY the police station/lost and found.

In the three times so far that I played the game, I only got it the first time around. Madness! I NEED COPPER IN MY TOWN.

Coppers my favorite NPC if that wasn't obvious.

He was adorable in Population Growing. He'd slip out of his serious cop personality and be like "O_O I mean- carry on."

I would die of happiness if I ever managed to get a Copper Amiibo card. xD

Yeah, it took me a while to get the police station this time. And then even longer since I didn't know where to place the thing xD The PwPs you can't demolish I always take extra long time to place down. Because it's so final when they are there lol.

I'm bad with placing PWPs in general. Unlike a lot of online players I'm not very good at making my town look super fancy... and I don't usually care for a lot of the PWPs.

I like the idea of placing the Police Station near the train station. I don't play with others due to being uncomfortable around other people, even online in situations like that, but having the Police Station there makes me picture Copper being able to keep an eye out for shenanigans.

I only wish that you got both officers with either PWP and instead of choosing based off which officer I want, I got to choose which design I wanted. I really love the wooden Police Station's look. However, I need Copper so I go with the modern looking one.

Yeah, I went with the classic police station twice, but I prefer copper over the two police officers. I wish that we could choose which police officer we wanted, not based on the designs.

Not just amiibo cards no, you get a whole new campsite with new items you can purchase. A mission list to earn MEOW coupons, yes MEOW

You get them from the CAT machine. I love this update.
They also implemented the redecorating tools from HHD.
And you can SELL your town, if you want to start over

You get bells for selling it, depending on how much you've done in your town and such and such

So much fun stuff!

The update is amazing

And I love how AC rewards you more for playing a little every day instead of the whole day once in a while

I want to get Pokémon too! But I'm thinking of getting the NFC reader so I can do amiibo for acnl instead. I dunno, I'm a little conflicted what I should do. I would LOVE to get a Wolf-Link, from Twilight Princess, as a villager in my town.

Luckily for me I bought the NFC reader with Happy Home Designer!

Thanks past me! Totally thought about skipping getting it when I got the game but I'm soooo glad I did. If I ever get more cards as gifts I can use em.

Now if I only I could get my brother to actually play his copy of New Leaf. He hasn't even booted it up once since getting a 3DS!

My brother used to love Animal Crossing like I did. I bought the first game with my own money (first game I ever bought myself!) and he wanted to play just as much as I did.

Peanut the Squirrel was his favorite.

Oh I love Peanut!

I had her in my second town before it got corrupted. Now that they purged the dream addresses I won't be able to go visit her anymore

I used to go visit my old town via the dream suite, just so I could talk to Peanut and Flurry and Coco.

Maybe he will get all excited about the game again with the new update?

Maybe. xD I mean, he finally stopped hating the idea of Skyrim so he can probably get back into a game he loved as a child.

My favorite villager was always Quetzal the eagle.. who hasn't appeared in a game since the first one. Quetzal moved to my brother's town one day and I was heartbroken. ...Then that memory card broke and he was gone forever. ;o;
