You're making 'Tiel Norns. O_O Dang it, I wish I was better with sprites so I could help you.
Edit: Apparently I cannot type the full name of the parrot species on this message board. >_>
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

Yeah I think if the sprites are done well, they'd make a really fancy looking Norn breed.
(Indeed, it's the ol' swear word fliter at work.) |

Arnout, do you have any concept art you could share with us? Maybe you could draw something on paper or in Paint, just to give us all an idea of what you have in mind. Even though we know they're based on 'tiels, there are still details that need nailing down. Do you want them to have feathers? Should they have beaks, or typical Norn muzzles? Things like that.

I think beaks would look really good - just my $0.02 |

They sound like they could be a very interesting Norn! I'd definitely love genetics like that.
I think it might be cool if their arms were feathered and their feet were maybe like typical feet, only blackened with longer claws like a 'tiels? Beaks might be a little more interesting than a traditional Norn muzzle, but I wouldn't make their eyes small and beady. Big cutsie eyes are the Norn way!
Anyway, cool. Do post concept art soon!

How to post concept art? |

you could post it here with the img command (at the left of the area where you write a new post is a link with the name "Commands" there you can find it)
or you post it in the Image galeries.
here is the Fan Art
and here are the Graphics

Did i can use a bmp file? |

If you're uploading it to the galleries or posting it here, it'll need to be either a JPG, GIF, or PNG file. Otherwise as a BMP it'll take too long to load on the forum page and there isn't an option to submit BMP files to the galleries. |

you must convert the image. or send it to me and I'll make it PNG (wonderful format, small and saves details)

I,ve got nothing to send. They are all too big files. all 14 MB. |

you could compress them to archives, or you get any Program to do it by your own.
My favourite one is The GIMP. it handles loads of formats, has hundrends of functions and stays always User-friendly and easy. it can even loads third-party scripts and plug-ins from Photoshop!
with The GIMP you open your images, say "save as" and then you replace the.bmp with .png or .jpg
edit: what about this link?

let me guess: you use ZIP when you pack them, right?
you could try to compress it with WinRAR. the compression rate of RAR is much stronger than the one of ZIP. with that you can probably make your images smaller than 14.8 MB

it is really still 14.8 MB? #confused be#
hmm, yes, you could describe your norns. thats also an idea

the first thing means that I am confused. You said that you did not get it smaller than 14.8MB (did you really use RAR compression? WinRAR can also make zips...)
and the second was: when you are not able to send us a conzept art then try to say us the idea with words. try to say all details.

What about the tail? Normal Norns have fuzzy tufts, very mammal-ish, but 'tiels have those really long feathers. What would a parrot Norn's tail look like?
|

Long feather tail.

Heh, I have very old (I stress the 'very' on this) concept art from a 'tiel norn I wanted to make based on the normal grey mutation. I had later planned on trying to do other 'mutations of 'tiel' such as white faced and pied but I did manage to find this lurking in my photobucket from ages ago...it's hideous compared to my normal art now but heh

Cute.
Are you able to create some sprites from this?

Making sprites of it could take a little while...
An average breed needs almost no sprites...

hmm, I did not exactly calculate that but it seems as when it fits for C2 and C3
lol, but I don't want to be the guy who ruined the idea... I wish you good luck and much success ^^

Lol, one time I did a sketch of a 'tiel. My art teacher didn't like it though
Sadly, it was 2 years ago, it could be on the moon for all I know.

I,ve updated their genetics.
- They age somewhat slower then first.
- Now their instincts are telling them to eat only seed and sometimes fruit.
-They get very sick of eating critters and food.
- They will only sit still when lonely, so you have to put them around other norns.
- Never hatch one norn, those 'tiel norns need to interact with other 'tiels.
- They approach the ettinhome when cold.
-They can die from coldness.
-They do die from wounds much easier then normal norns.
Could someone give me a link to Paintshoppro (Please, not a tryout)
(Or is a free one illegal!?)
And did someone can tell me how pose genes work. Because i want them to "hit" others with their head. And let them eat without their hands.
