News Forum My C1 COB Site    Jessi      4/1/2012 Hello hello. I've finished putting together a small site for my C1 COBs. It's nothing fancy, but does contain downloads, descriptions, and pictures. Link: Jessi's Cobs I have all the C1 COBs I have completed so far up for download, with more to come as I make them. So far there are some creepy dolls, an aphrodisiac fruit, big pink flowers, and a critter named Mama Mushu. Though I have tested them all rather extensively, please let me know if any problems occur with these COBs. The other sprites were all made in Blender, but I'm not very good at creating animated sprites so I thought Spore's Creature Creator would work better XD ~ Jessi's Cobs ~~ Creatures Documentations ~   Norngirl     4/1/2012 As everyone else said - it's a very lovely site ,Jessi :3 I allready had a quick test and.. I must say the Mama Mushu is ADORABLE! I don't find her guly at all! I just wish I could do more with her ^^ also the babys are a nice thing too - but to be honest - I still find the mother more cuter - but I did love the eggs : D Not did only I enjoy it,but my little nornlings as well! I do hope you do more interessting cobs like this! This is really the kind I enjoy ;P More cool flora and fauna,I say : D btwn: are going to do only C1 cobs or will there be for C2 - C3/DS ones too? I'm still learning a lot about CAOS, but I'm learning more with each COB that I do. I am definately planning on making more plants and critters, and adding more interactivity between them and the player. At the moment I'm only focusing on C1 COBs. Looks like I'll have some downloading to do before I play next time...   Norngirl     4/2/2012 You very welcome Jessi ^^ yeah,she is a cutie *.*! and indeed - it is fun to do poke fun now and then to it's own stuff :3 Also the 3D stuff make me think of some of the neat cobs like stefan kuske's cow and duck cobs *as well some other he made ^^ Im glad to hear there is more stuff you have in store for us : D I bet theyre all awesome! I myself is trying to sprite some stuff to C1 - but im no coder and I also have a few probs with the reduced color palettes *most of time have to burrow c1 sprites fuse them togheter to create something new - and sometime draw own sprites.. >_<' * Any tips on how to handle that issue,if I may ask ? *that with the fewer colors c1 sprites useX_X* I agree ! C1 have a special feeling that none of the other creature games can be compared of,not even realy C2 XD Yep - me being one of them XD I enjoy doing sprites for C2 and C3-DS.. Just allways need to ask coders...ugh X_X' (is not allways easy to find - I know people are allready busy with theyre own stuff allright) Dang Caos codes - if it wasn't for you I would been making stuff in no time T_T' Is looking forward to more of your'e cool C1 stuff! Specialy to the critter and plant stuff - is my fav things I think Creatures need more of!   Jessi   4/2/2012 Thank you Ghosthande And hmm, I'm not sure about the reduced color palette Norngirl. I generally keep the color palette for my images very simple. For example, when creating the models for the flowers I only used solid pink, green and yellow, and then added some lighting effects for minor shading. My images had very few colors and a very small amount of shading to begin with, so the reduction in quality when converting to 8-bit wasn't too bad. That probably isn't much help to you though, since you probably have a very different method of creating artwork than I do XD On another note, I just checked out your site Norngirl. You've got some very cool downloads! I love the Cupid Heart Ettins! Ive been looking for sites that i can download objects to spice up the C1 world.   Norngirl     4/22/2012 Looks awesome with the new cobs,Jessica! I find the color variation made by feeding Muggy flower was a nice touch - it remind me of Viva pinata (where you could get color variation feeding them flowers but also other things - allways found such interessting) :3 and yes - my method of spriting is via Ms paint and then usuly shading in adobe photoshop ^^' sometime Im lucky with the color reduce - sometime not (and thats quite often,at least for doing stuff in petz and C1 only) -_-' So I usuly try to draw and shade only in ms paint for C1...or at least try be creative to merge various things allready in C1 to create something new if needed (hope I didn't make that sound all wrong now >_>' ) anyhow - still,thanks for trying to help. I appreciate you liked my stuff on my site thought :3 Also glad you like them,the CHE (Cupid Heart Ettins) is my favs as well - I have some wolfling runs with those now and then , I might adopt some out (colored ones,that is)   Jessi   4/22/2012 Thank you again everyone. I also wanted to mention that I did find a bug with the plants and flowers, which were causing the wrong creatures to receive the effects from eating them. They have been fixed now and re-uploaded to the site. Norngirl - Haha, I was thinking about Viva Pinata when I did that, actually! And I have a lot of problems with the color reduction when coloring and editing in Photoshop, as well. I haven't found many ways to avoid it ~ Jessi's Cobs ~~ Creatures Documentations ~   Jessi   4/27/2012 Just wanted to let people know that an update for the Muggy COB has been uploaded to my COB site. There was a problem where, in addition to being able to eat feverfew flowers, tomatoes, etc. he was also able to eat their associated plants, (such as the Tomato Plant that grows in your Creatures world). Obviously this is a bad thing and was not intended. It has been fixed and Muggy will now only eat what he was intended to eat. Please re-download from Jessi's Cobs. If anyone lost any of their plants due to this COB, please let me know and I'll see about making a fix to restore them. ~ Jessi's Cobs ~~ Creatures Documentations ~   Caves Dweller Rascii Administrator     5/30/2012 I wish I still had C1 so I could download the Muggy critter. - Rascii   ArchDragon   6/4/2012 I'd definitely recommend getting these COBs if you can. They look great, function well and provide some very nice life to C1. The plants add food into some rather foodless areas, and my Norns have never interacted with critters quite so much   Jessi   12/22/2012 Hello! I'm back with a small update. This time a I have a winter-themed COB for you. It is the Winter Mushu. This critter will do a little snow dance and make it snow around him.
