Strangeo Forum College Interview    Lollipop Lord C-Rex        3/9/2011 Hi everyone, I have a college interview today, but I am totally dreading it and feeling really nervous! Does anyone have any advice? P.S: I've brought along a portfolio of my artwork by the way.   LuciaInFurs     3/9/2011 Sound as enthusiastic as you can. Highlights the parts of education you enjoy, and talk extensively about your subjects. Try not to be too worried, your grades will have a much bigger impact than your interview, and they'll be expecting and allowing for some nervousness. Sound passionate, sound like you'll want to do the work, perhaps mention university too if you have looked that far ahead; what you'd like to specialise in etc... Good luck! My interview went pretty good, and I got a reserved place in the college, but the man who was interviewing me said I needed to be more outgoing and less shy. Don't forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember her, you are not alone.   Malkin Manager     3/10/2011 C-Rex, the best way I've found to raise my confidence levels is to put myself out there and DO something that I'm scared about... and if I stuff it up a bit, not to give myself too hard a time over it - but if I go well, pat myself on the back, and then go to the next step... Make sure to go to the   Tea Queen Laura     3/11/2011 Also, I'd say just be yourself around your new classmates, so that they can get to like you for who you are. Find that confidence within you to just be yourself. I found college to much better than High School socially; because you're sharing a class with people wiho have similiar interests (in your case, games and game design) it'll probably be much easier to make friends. In my experience, there tends to be next to no bullying and more maturity in college, since people are there because they want to study, do well and get a qualification in their chosen field.   Mousienorn   3/11/2011 I can see your Logic making sense.. Confidence, however, is a different story, but I sadly can't provide advice on that. Do not upset the ugly worm, lest it be a dragon in disguise.
