I'm searching for a new (alternative) screen name, but I can't find a name that isn't already used on the Internet. I've tried (Mr)CookieByte, but unfortunately that name is already taken. I think I was too exited that I tried that name without doing a Google Search or a username check. ![:\](/images/smilies/confused.gif ":\") Does anyone have tips on how to find a nice unique screen name, and how did you found yours? Officer 1BDI was the pseudonym I was using to post my Futurama fics under back in the day because it's a part of a joke that I was fond of from the show's pilot. When I started actually joining forums, I stuck with it partially because people already knew me by the name and partially because it seemed like a safely vague, genderless moniker. TestName, my other screen-name, was pulled out of thin air and convenience and I grew to like the sound of it. You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing.
