I think this would be a good place to share our favourite music artists!  I think it would be good for expanding musical tastes and etc. So here I go! KT Tunstall is my favourite artist, she is not that well known apparently ![:\](/images/smilies/confused.gif ":\") She has a different style in every album, ranging from rock, folk, nature techno... I think she's a bit different so thats one of my reasons for liking her. So please tell me your favourite artist and why Don't be worried about who is right, Just follow you heart... |

My favourite artist is Bruce Springsteen, after my boyfriend introduced me to his music and took me to a concert last year. He's my favourite because in his music he stays true to his roots in New Jersey, his experiences and his beliefs. Each of his songs tells a story relating to these things - often dealing with personal themes. If you have access to Spotify or YouTube, I really reccomend that you give him a listen! In particular, the songs Jungleland, Badlands, The River, Factory, The Promised Land, Sherry Darling, Drive All Night, Thunder Road, Mary's Place, Bobby Jean, No Surrender, Racing in the Street, Darkness on the Edge of Town . . . |

I particularly likeTom Waits, The Divine Comedy, The Cure, Nick Cave, Duke Special, Marilyn Manson.... None of them really have anything in common. If anyone can fit those bands into a genre I'd be interested to hear it. I like quite a lot of people, lately I've been listening to composer Yoko Kanno, and listening to Keane, The Pillows, Incubus, and Pendulum. I love a lot of indie rock bands, Eisley most of all (I can hear the crowds calling for my hipster death, but...) Of course, I have a soft spot for classics, like Frank Sinatra and The Beatles. I like about almost anything from 20th century up until about the mid-nineties, however, one of my all-time favourite singer has to be Dusty Springfield. If you've ever watched the 1994 film, Pulp Fiction, you'll have heard her most popular song, 'Son of a Preacher Man', but she also did superb covers of many songs, including Motown classics, but she also had the special ability to sing almost anything to near perfection. Sadly she died in 1999 of cancer, but I truly recommend that you listen to a few of her tracks from the 60s if you will. |

Do you happen to remember the creatures website Palace of the Evil Shee? That used to have Danse Macabre playing in the background. On a completely different note, Gnarls Barkley are an excellent band. Smiley Faces make me feel all summery.
