Pearl Mermaid Norns C3DS Spykkie | 4/30/2013 | 15 |
slot | Norn-S | type | Genetics + Sprites | author | Spykkie | updated | 6/16/2013 | The Pearl Mermaid Norns Version 2.0!
You'd think they're the same, and yet so much has changed!
Back-view tail sprites are fixed
Old age facing and back view sprites are fixed
Completely reworked the atts from the ground up
The breed now has a proper adolescent age
---
General Information:
The Pearl Mermaids are an amphibious breed. The babies are born with legs and only grow a mermaid tail later in life.
NOTE: Because of the trick used to make the mermaid tail possible, their atts have been modified quite a bit, and they may not crossbreed well with other breeds.
Special thanks to Norngirl for in-game testing and Razgriz for genetics. |

YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE : There appears to be a problem with the current file up for download, a glitch causes the game to crash. this is a new file that was just uploaded a couple days ago.
I'm looking into the problem. Please wait until the issue is fixed before downloading this file update!

Was it the first time you were hatching one, Puddini? If so, likely all of the body data and sprite files needed to be installed, which sometimes slows down a game for a few moments. What about if you hatch several more eggs? Is the slowdown still present?
EDIT: Ninja'd by Feddlefew!

If it's the first one, the game has to unpack spirits and ATT files when it first creates an eggs.

Um... Hatching a Pearlmaid slows down my game.

@Doringo The only one I can think of at the top of my head would be the Gill norns. I had a few die on me when importing them from another world.

I have never seen a creatures 3/Docking station breed that has to be in the water to survive. All of them are just like the aquanorns, being able to survive in both.

As a test, I created a norn that had Pearlmaid legs and tail, but was otherwise a bengal norn. Then I fast-aged this norn to adulthood.
Turns out, I think this version actually looks better mixed with C3-styled creatures than V1 does.
