| Gormez was, in his youth, a Grendelchi that, for better or worse, embraced the more nasty side of his species's stereotype. He was always independent, relying only on his own strength and durability to survive since he hatched. As aggressive as he was, he chased away potential friend after potential friend.
He thought that the feeling of loneliness was just another constant in life, until he hit puberty. Gormez grew into a very handsome Grendelchi, and soon he wasn't so lonely anymore as bachelorettes started to flock around him. And just as they softened up to him, he too softened up a little.
He was won over by Emerald in the end, both with her cooking and her music. After spending ages together, they made it official and wed. Their daughter, Tiana, was born not too long later. Gormez took great pride in his daughter, even if he had his doubts at first, and was a very dutiful parent.
Not too long later, he met an Ettinchi named Biyluff. Gormez came to trust her greatly for her tolerance and generosity. After he insulted one of her friends, however, she stood up for her and scolded him. That was the first time anyone told him no, and it would be the last time anyone would ever have to. He would never commit a cruel act again.
After that, he lived to see his daughter find love, marry, and have a child of her own. A Nornchi named Sprig came to look up to him as a father, even if he never realized it. He saw his wife pass away before his eyes, and he knew his time was coming too. His last week was spent working on one last final project for his grandchild, and his final moments were with his progeny.
Long live the family!

Grom comes rushing up to his favorite friend's father offering frogs, thinking he might like them too. He hurriedly reassures him that he likes Tiana too much to let anything bad happen. :3 He also shyly thanks his elder for the gift before coyly running back to his own home by the pond.

Biyluff waltzes by Gormez's abode. Since the green grendelchi wasn't home at the moment, she decided to leave a leaf note for when he got back.
Neatly written it said:
"Biyluff come to party shall.
Cake yummy!"

|
Sprig seems to have been following Gormez as he leads Tiana around. She looks up to Gormez, like a father figure. Maybe he will know where her daddy went!

|
Uncharacteristically for the grendelchi, Gormez hushes the nervous Biyluff. He says that no, he should be the one that's sorry! What he said was way out of bounds, and was not typical of him to begin with. It would of been funnier if he just stuffed the cheese up her nose anyway, like last time!
Feeling a lot better, Gormez snickered, and thanked Biyluff for being a good friend, for both him and Mahogany!

After she had some time to think things over, Biyluff nervously comes to Gormez's abode. She felt extremely bad for lashing out to the Grendelchi the way she did. The ettinchi fumbles with her hands, a stutter in her voice with her head bowed down as she apologizes. She didn't mean to act that way, she had just got caught up in the moment without a single thought beforehand.

Eddie shakes his head in disbelief. He starts to say he keeps fish as pets, but decides that would be a bad idea. He just smiles nervously at the Grendelchi and says he's totally right.

|
Gormez explains to Eddie, bluntly, that there are no such things as pets, just as there's no such thing as an Albia, Santa, or Tooth Fairy! And even if they did exist, he doesn't see the point in keeping one!

Eddie watches Gormez eat the mudskipper in horror, and asks why he just doesn't raise them as pets, not understanding that they might taste good to a grendelchi.

Biyluff stares with a blank expression, a pokerface you could say, in response to the VERY attractive action of the mudskipper eating display. She knew though it was not the time worry about that. The blue ettinchi opens her mouth, ready to give advice..but then closes it when she realizes..She doesn't know a darn thing about parenting, let alone being a parent! However, she does feel that amphibian wrestling is not part of the job description of being a fine parent. In fact, it kind of disturbs her a tad, all things considering.

Gormez was not in very presentable condition when Biyluff arrives - not that he cared. He's covered head to toe in swamp water, slime, and mud from chasing amphibians all day. The toad in his hands struggles and thrashes in his hands as he nods to Biyluff. Yes, it's tiring. No, he seems to be the only parent with this problem for some reason.
He is distracted by small group of mudskippers, and doesn't skip a beat in catching one in his mouth - gulping it down whole!
