thinking about the gender difference, maybe you could add some of the vibrant yellow that female cardinals have on their chests/underbellies? i also think that mixing the brown and red is definitely worth a shot. | |||

It's a male and female. I felt that the gender differences left the females a bit too plain(though more true to nature) and rendered them in a similar palette. I'm trying a few different things to bring back some of the brown while still giving the females some of the nice red color. | |||

How come one has yellow eyes and a big chest and the other doesnt? The females were brownish, so are these two male life stages? | |||
