 | Beowulf Norns seem to have a phobia of Butterflies. |
 | A Norn called Burton was born, in my Wolfling Run, and now I've noticed he's suddenly gotten a very pretty red tint. Hooray for the first Norn with color mutations! And guess what? He's just a gen 3! |
 | I frequently find these two in this position, kisspopping and saying they love each other. Ivette love Bran. Bran love Ivette. You may now push Norn. |
 | So here are about half of the offspring from my color test world.
The Green/Blue and the Red/Green crosses had a lot more offspring than the Red/Blue one.

 | Born during my Wolfling Run, this little guy (as the title says) has been born with Slider Syndrome, despite just being a gen 2. It's a shame, because Harlequin and Indio breeds look well together if the Norn's a male. I exported him so that he wouldn't suffer. Any ideas as to what I should do with this Slider? |
 | These picturess were taken in Terra Nornia. In accordance with the old country saying, "When the young 'uns start, the old 'uns should stop," I've been exporting the Grendels when they get to the Old lifestage, even if they're still fertile. This means I'm running with around 25 in the world at all times, and they tend to congregate either in the swamp area, or the garden. Every now and again a stunning colour turns up, usually a blue or purple. |
 | Have you guys ever noticed that when creatures are particularly angry, they do this weird little dance while exclaiming as such? These are two Banshee Grendels who were doing it at almost the exact same time, and I couldn't resist taking a screenshot. xD |
 | About two years ago I spliced a lot of random creatures in Creatures 2 and to this day I haven't been able to figure out where I got the sprites for the legs from. I was unable to keep the Norn alive, and so this is the only picture I have of it. A little before I did the splicing, I looked around everywhere on the internet, downloading every type creature I could find. ^^; Errr--anyway, can anyone tell me what type of creature's legs those are? They are so short and weird to me... |
 | What do you guys think? |
 | This female Norn has been a baby for 18 hours now. She does not eat, rarely move (but can), does not sleep, does not grow up and her life chemical is non existent, yet she's still alive. I found this strange mutation in her genome (it seems to be preventing her from reaching childhood, I assume she would die if I ever tried to make her older):
188 Different in file 2 60 0 Emb B MutDupCut 128 0 Organ# = 10, Brain, 00: Unknown, Cell 0 - state 0, chem=Life, thresh=229, nom=119, gain=255, features=Inverted Digital (0)
I'm looking for other clues to understand why she's immortal and am planning on keeping her as a mascot. She's Zebra/Bengal/Bengal des Neiges/Siamese/Magma/Fallow mix. |
 | This female Dustdevil Grendel's mate's snoring appears to be keeping her awake!
Only joking, she's just laying an egg. |
 | Still one of the best series of metarooms, and makes for a good place to raise some Norns. I think I bought it with lunch money years ago. X3 |
 | So, I've come to love my Tribble colony. I've tried to introduce other Norn breeds into my colony but it seems that they never live long enough establish themselves, seen here with a Turtletribble.
These Norns pretty much free-range themselves. Their only toys are demon dice, which keep the population moving at a steady rate to avoid it becoming stagnant. Any Norns that live to adult are exported to live happy lives, eventually, elsewhere. Early on in the colony I tried to separate colors, but it's more interesting to see what pops up and establishes itself. The default color has vanished, but we now have golden Norns, blueish Norns, pinkish Norns, colorless ones, and a few in-betweens. Some of them turn a nice bright red after adolescence. |
 | The Rainbow Sharklings always look so pretty in the beginning of a world. |
 | What a colorful crop of Bramboo berries! (Presided over by the equally colorful hand Emperor McCheese, ruthless dictator of Grendonia.) |
