Guys…what if Willy Wonka is a Shee or part Shee?
I mean…
-seemingly charming British gentleman who hides a darker side
-has tiny cutesy slaves working for him
-a bit reckless and lack of empathy
-considered a genius by those in his field
I cannot deny that there is logic here. But why does he himself look so human? Hybridization? Self-gencoding? I'm honestly betting on the latter. It just seems like such a Shee thing to do.
Conclude with killer catchphrase. (Lurhstaap)
"This is not knowledge -
this is information!"
New Model Army, "Courage"
I gotta admit, I giggled when Wallace and Gromit was mentioned. Maybe the Shee just happen to be part of an archetype of absentminded yet intelligent fools that apparently is an archetype I really like…
That robot dog in one of the Wallace and Gromit shorts still scares the crap out of me though, even though I’m much less squeamish about robots now than I was as a kid. Me and my traumas relating to cartoon dogs…
Oh my gosh, you're talking about A Close Shave!! I re-watched that with my partner recently. Admittedly it wasn't as scary as I remembered it (I first watched it as a very young child) but that meatgrinder scene still made me so uncomfortable. I never ever had a problem with robots of any kind, but Preston was a very bad boy.
Science is a beautiful gift to humanity; We should not distort it.
