I wrote this story just over five years ago and have never got round to publishing it. Hope everyone enjoys!

It was the middle of Winter on-board the Capillata, and the Lone Shee was wondering if he would ever catch up with the Shee Ark. Would he have to spend his first Christmas alone? Even though he spent most of his time by himself, the Lone Shee still somewhat missed the other Shee and their festive antics, and now it seemed as though all those pleasant memories of decorating the Shee laboratories with tinsel and baubles would fade away in time. He also missed the great Christmas feasts, where on one occasion a Shee worker had brought in a huge turkey! It didn’t taste too good, and gave everyone food poisoning, but it was still a marvelous occasion that he missed dearly.

The Lone Shee decided that he wouldn't achieve anything by moping around, so he sent a couple of Chichi norns into his snore cupboard to fetch a few teabags for brewing. As they rummaged through the various boxes, the Norns came across a large, dusty, mysterious box in the back of the cupboard. As they pulled it out and shook off the dust, it turned out that it was full of old Christmas decorations! The norns decided to carry away the box to hide away in the bottom of the Norn Meso; they were going to decorate the Capillata as a surprise for the Lone Shee! After sneakily hiding the ornaments behind a large bramboo cane, the norns headed back to the Lone Shee to give him his teabags.

Whilst the Lone Shee took his cup of tea into the workshop, the norns began their work. After heavily decorating the Meso with tinsel, baubles, candles and colourful ribbons, they were ready to surprise the Lone Shee. Just as he sat down, the Lone Shee suddenly realised he had forgotten his biscuits! After shouting and then waiting for a Norn to fetch him some, the Lone Shee grew impatient! Why were his norns disobeying him? He put down his cup of tea and stormed off to the Norn Meso to give them a good talking-to, but just as the door began to open, his anger quickly turned to utter joy; the norns had decorated the meso with Christmas ornaments! Overjoyed, the Lone Shee walked around like a child, cooing at the decorations and giving the occasional Norn a pat on the head. This was truly a Christmas to remember!
