Help raising C1 norns

I've had the urge to play C1 for some reason so I've been playing with the midgard norns. I keep encountering weird obedience issues that I haven't seen anybody mention, which leaves me wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if this is just something everyone else has accepted but me O__o

So when norns are born they're generally very obedient and will do whatever I tell them to, but as they age they gradually listen less and less to the point that they essentially WON'T listen 75% of the time, which makes nursing sick ones especially painful when you can't make them eat herbs

second the norns are weirdly ignorant of food and food specifically. If they see a toy they'll immediately go over and play with it, but I can put a norn into a little room with nothing but 5 pieces of cheese and it'll just walk around, sleep, and complain about how hungry it is. (I have injected Gimmecat's say need COB but it seems to have done nothing) If I place them into the carrot patch they'll eat by themselves, but NOT if I tell them to!

thirdly the presence of the hand seems to distract them more than anything else. they will push the hand instead of doing something productive. There is probably a genetic fix for this but meh

fourth every Grendel i've had ends up living in the tunnel under the island. They will never leave because they'll push the cart back whenever it tries to move them. again I guess this is more of a problem with the cart agent than anything else

I really like C1 sometimes but other times it leaves me on the verge of pulling my hair out because of stuff like this! any help?

Sounds like you have a severe case of normal norns.

I sugest as the babies have little world experience they just obey without hesitation, as they age they learn to do what seems right, and are free to ignore you if they wish. They are like teens!

There are genomes you can try which are more intelligent, susch as Midgard norns, Mommy-Daddy nors, Conservative norns.

Hand norns are specifically bred to be obedient.

Many can be found here on Creatures Caves, and they can all be found on this page of my website http://geatville.uk/norns-gm.htm

I figured some of it was normal but what concerns me is that they will do this things even to their own detriment, e.g. just pushing the hand when they're starving and even when I tell them to push food. I wonder if it's some COB i have, or something

Try putting in more food, and keeping them apart from each other, basically reduce distractions.

Also use Ctrl S to pepeat your speech a bunch
