I've seen several people talking about creatures as C1, C2 etc, but I see alot of C3/DS. Does that mean you need C3 to download the free docking station online and play?? Or, can I just download and play DS? |

You can download DS and play whether or not you have C3, but you need it if you want to have the DS and C3 worlds combined, or "docked".

C3 and DS have more in common than the other games - I've heard DS being described as "Creatures 3.5". (Just don't ask me where.)
Creatures Wiki entry on "C3/DS".
Yes, you can just play DS "standalone", without C3.

You can even download the C3 rooms by themselves, if you don't have C3.
I don't know if anyone got permission to separate the official breeds from the game and offer them for DS standalone players, though |

That's not entirely right, Draconorn. You can download "C3inDS", but it just won't work if you don't have C3 installed.
