News Forum Online Week!    TheOtherLiam      3/28/2009 Copyed from Creaturetopia By Space Ship Rat: From the 30th of March to the 5th of April, the 2009 Warp Week will be an occasion to exchange special norns, make collective wolfling runs, and chat with everyone in the Creatures Community. Spread the news to the furthest corners of the CC! Make sure no one is unaware of this little event! Warpy the Chichi norn will appear on the scene from the first day, and MUST BE KEPT online during the whole week! Do not log off without passing him on! We'll keep track of his progress, so make sure not to abandon him in your world and contact the person you pass him off to, to make surre they are online and want to take care of the event mascotte. (do not Warp Immortals, Fastagers and Essex(superbreeders)! Unless asked to! Same with grendels and ettins. You can post your norn preferences here with your id, if you want.) During the event there will be themed days and a Week-end long Global Wolfling Run, so dust off your worlds and share your ID's! Post here with your DS id if you want to be on everyone's lists, and if you want to host an event. Post in the old preparation thread to exchange ideas about themes and projects. How to proceed to find out and add DS id numbers: press ctrl+shift+B twice (once will just bring up a little bit of text saying 'nothing') will open up a little window that'll tell you your ID number. To add a friend, you then use ctrl+shift+C to open the CAOS thingy, then type the following line of code: Code: Select all rtar 1 1 157 mesg wrt+ targ 1000 "insert ID number here" 0 0Or you can go to the Gameware site and do it from there Have fun! Go Pern!   Amaikokonut     3/29/2009 Just to elaborate/simplify, this is like a big party centered around the Warp, the factor that makes Docking Station so unique. So get online and start swapping norns! "Warpy" is the mascot norn of the event, and we'll be passing him around through as many different worlds as possible. If you keep your portals open, you'll likely catch a glimpse of him or one of his offspring! If you want to help keep the spirit of Warp Week alive, check the descriptions of incoming warp norns for "Son of Warpy", "Granddaughter of Warpy", "Descendant of Warpy (4th generation)" or anything similar. Breed that norn with one (or a few) of your own, then add into the baby's description that he or she is a descendant of Warpy. Turn the offspring loose back into the warp to keep the spirit spreading, or keep the creature in your world for further breeding. We'll see how high the generations of Warpy's children will get! Oh well, it will be interesting to see what happens to Warpy and all of his descendants. ^_^ Edit: If I have a Norn submitted, I would name it 'SpringRain'. Lol. I'm back after 11 years. I like to spread my coloured norns out amongst my worlds to encourage more coloured norns. It's not like we're policing the warp and only letting colored norns through, we're just encouraging people that do that have them to share them with others.
