The Creature Repository has been suffering from a gradual decline (an expected one, but a decline nonetheless) in both submissions and downloads over the past few months. Having 650+ creatures in the database is not half bad and is well over the goal I had aimed for originally, but unless people indicate to me that there's still enough interest to bother, I'm not really planning to put much more effort into developing the site.
Gone are the happy-go-lucky, easygoing days of my high school years; I have college classes and other obligations these days which eat most of my time. And the gradual slope in usage of the site seems to indicate that few people are really interested anymore in what it offers. I have tried hard to keep it on people's minds, but it seems I am powerless against the CC's tendency to disperse content over multiple small hard-to-find sites. I can't even keep my own moderators interested; I generally find that I am the only one who keeps up with the queue these days, and even I tend to do it automatically. I usually only receive an average of 1 to 5 norns per week, 5 being a very good week. There just isn't much of a community to keep bigger sites afloat these days, as Rascii can attest to with Creatures Caves. Based on my estimates from usage of TCR, there are probably only about a maximum of 100 active CC members for whom sites like CCaves and TCR might hold any interest now (and that's probably very generous indeed).
But, I ramble. If anyone has any ideas for improvement or something they feel is lacking, you may always feel free to IM me (either diagonalfish on AIM or elasticmuffin@hotmail.com on MSN) or send me an e-mail (see my Cwiki page). I will look into it, and if I see that it stands a chance of improving the site I will see about implementing it. In the meantime, enjoy what's there. TCR is not going anywhere; I am just saying that I am less likely to improve it further if no one really cares what it's like right now.

Aww, that's sad.
I would donate some norns, but I've got to try and get my own site working at 100%
I'll try and breed some interesting norns to submit this week. |

I'm working hard to get the perfect norn to be the 666th one in the database.

There's always Creature 700 up for grabs. And of course Creature 1000, way off in the future.

I just wanted to say that as a very new C3/DS player, I truly appreciate sites like TCR. I've submitted my first norn today (for EvilSpirit's run) and have downloaded one that was recommended to me.
Now that I'm increasing the types of breeds that I've installed, it's time for me to download a few more.
Please keep up the good work. TCR is heaven for those of us who just got into the game (or back into the game in my case).

More upgrades tonight! Members should have gotten an e-mail, but for others- try moving your mouse over the thumbnails on the creature searches (make sure you have javascript enabled). You might find something is... different.
Also, the Edit User Info link is a bit more obvious now. I think people might have been missing it all this time.

Things have been up and down a lot the last couple days, with the site acting extremely weird- seems to be fixed now, and I have re-enabled submission.

To bump the topic once more and avoid creating a new one, I would point out that the download issue plaguing the site since a week or two ago is now fixed, and the fix was depressingly simple. My apologies. That is all.
