[C2/C3] Gene Organ fields | |

Hi, hopefully this is a clear enough description where somebody recognizes my problem. I searched around but could not find the right keywords to hook an answer.
When editing an Emitter/Receptor/Reaction/etc. in the C2/C3 genetics kits on Windows 10, one of the topmost fields is the Organ the gene is associated with. The field is grey and the value is not changeable.
I'm aware of an issue where on Windows 10 the organ tab does not draw correctly. However, I don't see a way to change the value of this field even in alternate editors including genetics-editor and Eat Genes for Breakfast.
My actual problem I want to solve is with my C2 genome: my new Emitters/Receptors work (read a sensorimotor signal into a chemical -> put the chem signal into a neuron) in females but not males. The new genes are not sex-linked and the genetics kit tells me the associated Organ for each new gene is the Uterus, but I can't change it. |

You can't change it, genes are associated with whatever organ is above them. You have to move them under the gonad for them to work in males.
You know...wait...nevermind... wait...no...umm...maybe later... |

Thank you Verm, I remember brickwalling at this 15 years ago and now it's solved.
For anybody else who couldn't figure out how to move genes at first either, it's the "Move" pane on the right on the Gene Editor tab, it's not for navigation like I thought. |
