Hi Creatures community, I'm Pierre a french 3D professional artist in the gaming industrie, and looking for creatures related project to work on on my free time !
Looking for someone to help/work on the programing/codding part of it, thinking of a complete new grafic style (like don't starve, or celle shaded ... why not) or a hd version... 2D or 3D but oppen for any cool project !

did someone know if progressive transparency is possible with c16 files? |

Hi PapuBuntu!
My understanding is that you can dapple the image with pure black (#000000) to create transparency. (Detritus fade effect?)

so it seem to be more like 0 or 1 thing, no problem, i'm on a 3d model of norn, but i want to know a programmer that can assume the genome/coding.... i want to know if it's possible to add more mutation to a breed, like different set of c16 for rare variation (like big ear...) or if it's just color related and not much |

@ Malkin -
I think it's a missunderstanding. This is a thing I made because
both Creatures Adventure & Creatures 3 use same engine,
and is why it was possible to do what Creatures Adventure/Playground allready was capable of - the hair swap. That's where the limit goes for apperance slots.The thought was nice,of course and you just wanted to be kind,I know

C3 and Creatures Adventures use the same engine, and so the hair swap would be possible to do in C3: and maybe even BIG EARS instead of hair??

Well I meant more like,PapuBuntu wanted to do neat mutation addons such as
eyecolors,fur patterns and such,but Apperance gene is only limited to
Head,Body,Arms,legs,Tail and yes - hair (ears are sadly not included, even so that ears is seperate sprite in Creatures Village series,they are not mix-able.
Papubuntu: It's very cute & I like the colorscheme - black and orange stripes is a neat combo! :3 |

update, I have all the base body parts to work on, start to texturate it
(all the different part are separate to render them separately to convert in c16 images for C3/DS)

I don't have a lot of details in head, only the fact that i want it carnivorous, (like or have to eat critters, fish and bugs) and cat like, i want it the more cool possible so i don't want to impose my ideas because i do the sprites, i realy realy want to do community project about creatures |

yes, grey color for old,exacly the same amount of sprites and style than an official breed, by now i have all the head sprites rendered in bmp format |

cool for the help !
so for the 3d stuff i use 3ds max
for the rendering it's skyline renderer (the same that they use in fact) integred in 3ds max
for the textures i use photoshop
for the concept, the officials breeds and my child creativity

did anyone know a way to make sprite sheet from multiple bmp with sprite builder? or import multiple bmp in sprite builder without having to do it manualy one by one ?
by now i'm using a spritesheet maker but it's not free and my test period will end :s |

From what I read I presume that you have a lot of distinct bitmap files right now?
If so have a look at the import all function in the spritebuilder. Numbering all of your distinct body parts from 0 to whatever your max amount of sprites is should make you able to import all of them at once.
For instance: head0.bmp head1.bmp head2.bmp until head191.bmp.
Correct me if any of the information above is wrong, I haven't used the function while making my latest Norn breeds.  |
