I was just wondering how old you guys think Lone is in human years. I’m gonna guess maybe around 30s, since he’s got experiences under his belt but he seems a bit naive at times. Then again, all Shee are kinda naive to some extent, so…*shrug* Can’t wait to hear your responses! Meow. |

I kind of assumed that elf rules applied and that either through natural disposition ot genetic editing, Shee turn stupidly old, like millenia. Based on that assumption I would've put him around at least a couple hundred. Then again, he was always depicted kind of Doc Brown-y in the artwork. That coupled with the whole "locking himself away till he was forgotten" thing could mean he's been kickin' around for a few eons. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... @Papriko You can’t tell me Doc Brown isn’t secretly a Shee. Heck, I bet Christopher Lloyd could play Lone in a hypothetical dream movie adaptation of the Lone Shee Saga and it would be perfect. Meow. |

I think we can calculate the minimum age the Lone Shee should be. Assuming Shee higher education works like human higher education. It takes 3-4 years to complete a bachelor's. And an additional year to complete a Master's. We know the Lone Shee knows: genetic engineering, aerospace engineering, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, and physics. Assuming the Lone Shee has at least a bachelor's in all 5 fields, it would take a minimum of 15 years. If we say that the Lone Shee has a Master's in all 5 fields, it would take at least 20 years. How long would it take to build the wrap or a spaceship? Well spacecraft construction times vary a lot. But um let's say 5 years. We haven't made the wrap so that's purely fiction for now. |

Some more clues pointing towards my theory: According to the wiki, one day is 20 IRL minutes. There are 4 days in a season and 4 seasons in a year. Multiply it all out and you land at 5 hours and 20 minutes real time for one ingame year, assuming the C3/DS rules considering the Lone Shee is the guy who made DS. That in turn means the average lifespan of the default genome Norns is about one year, give or take. I would think it's plausible to assume that the players see the game similarly to the Shee, meaning they can spend decades or even centuries on creature breeding like it's no big deal. Also, the page on years mentions that DS is implied to take place over 120 years after the Lone Shee left Albia. Once again we are dealing in the timescale of hundreds of years. Lets play plants! But…what if it was the Banshee who connected the Capillata with the Shee Ark…and did something nasty to Lone…???? Idk how that affects Lone’s age but it seems we all agree he’s freakin’ old and, not unlike his Norns, is still stupid enough to make mistakes he shouldn’t have. XD Meow. |
