Everybody knows him as The Lone Shee, but I honestly can't see him introducing himself, "Hi! I'm The Lone Shee!" What do you think his actual name is?

I think his name would have sort of an English-y feel, but not a name we're used to hearing a lot. Arald, Duon, Gish, something like that.

Something from Europe.
Probably Welsh.
Or German.
Or Viking.
Or Scandinavian.
Ghosthande expressed this well.
I think it would be similar, more, Auld, then Arald.
I always loved the look of the fan lone shee.
I've seen many things similar to the lone shee proposed image, in real life XD.
On wikipedia, the description of the viking like aliens, supposedly a real alien race, humanoid, pale skin, quite tall, empty eyes.
I thought it said white hair and blue skin, but blue eyes, and pale skin, possibly pale hair.
I would've loved it if the shee were similar to a proposedly real alien race XD

I just call him "LS" in my head now.
I'd feel really funny giving him a name for some reason. I kind of like the mysterious edge being nameless gives him.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

I know! After calling him "The Lone Shee" all this time, anything else just seems anticlimactic.

I've always called the the Lone Shee 'The Lone Shee' too; can't imagine him having another name! It adds to his air of mysteriousness.

Actually I think his name would be
Ghillie Dhu, a creature of Scottish folklore, because the description matches what we think of a shee as. To find it simply search up Sidhe on wikipedia and you sill be redirected to irish mythology |

Well, Giles reminds me of Miles "Tails" Prower - the techie fox from the Sonic the Hedgehog games. So I'll say go with Giles.

"Giles" just reminds me of "Gil," which reminds me of that poor sap from "The Simpsons," which really doesn't work for me.
That said, something along the same vein as "Ghillie Dhu" makes sense to me because of the history/themes involved.

Giles reminds me of the character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
It's also a bit reminiscent of Ghillie, but more dignified--"Ghillie Doo" seems like something a baby Norn might say.

I asked one of my relatives once and they said that he'd introduce himself as the lone shee, but when the person he's talking to says "Have you no name?" or something like that he might say,"Well, my mother did used to call me Rupert..."

I used to call him Sidhe (pronounced in my mind as Sid-hee) and then I found out that the correct pronunciation of Sidhe is just ‘Shee’, so I abandoned that one quick! XD
I’m liking the suggestions of names like Rupert or Giles. I think those fit him well! I do headcanon that the Shee in general are pretty forgetful and even at times forget their own names, so who knows?
Steve Grand has said though that his version of the Shee is a bit darker and more folklore-inspired, so I’d think an obscure Irish name might work too.
I do love how fans like to call him Lone for short. It’s so cute. ^^
