Hi guys, I've picked up a breed I was making a few years ago (well, more like painting over an official breed). I had finished making the head and now I'm trying to get it to work in C2. I can't remember the program I used to change the sprites, I suppose Photoshop, but in any case the BMP's looked bad when opening in Spritebuilder so I resaved them through SAI, and they looked good in Spritebuilder.

The problem is, now they look bad IN the game

I tried resaving through paint but that only flips the head upside down for some reason.

Also the game runs badly so maybe it's that who knows..

Huh, I have only seen this problem in C3/DS so far and that admittedly not even myself, only when others encountered it. It looks a lot like green spew...
Try out the suggestions and recommendations. Perhaps you are lucky and that fixes it. Afterall it seems to be related to 555/565 problems, which AFAIK C2 has too.

I had problems like that until I switched to using bmp2s16.

Save your BMPs as 24-bit images (this is important), and then try building the sprite using bmp2s16 with the 565 format setting.   |

  Thanks!

I actually managed to get it working in C1 no problem, and I think I won't try it in C2 anymore today, it keeps breaking even when I don't change anything, I've had to reinstall 3 times u_u.

Yeah, I think that's Green Spew. Frustrating!

I feel your pain. Yesterday I was having to reinstall C1 a bunch of times. Coming back to it with a less frustrated mind should help, hopefully.   |
