Go here to view updates! This could go on for a few days, depending on how much time I get to spend on it each day. |

Kinda odd for a male norn to be called Linda. ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif) |

Yeah, that person didn't pick a name for her Norn, so that's what I had to call him |

Aww, thanks! Quick question, are gengineered benefits not allowed? Just so I don't send in a Norn with a bunch of advantages that would be unfair.

Linda

I know, I had tried to write a comment to have him renamed into 'Percy' instead of 'Linda', but it didn't seem to work. I've got no idea why, since I was able to comment before... oh well. Go, Linda |

LibbyNorn: This time people didn't send in creatures, I hatched them myself. If the next one is different, gengineering will probably be OK, but only within reason (e.g. no reaction that says boredom makes starch, no aging to adult in 30 seconds then living 8 hours)
Linda: Sorry about that! It might have been something I installed. WordPress has a lot of trouble with spambots. I can rename him if you like but it'll be kind of confusing now! |

Ah well, looks like it doesn't matter now anyway :/ |

I've never played C1 (or C2) before, so this is fascinating. Gen 1 creatures could have mutations? I wish that stuck through the series...

It did in C2, but not C3/DS. |

Huh. Wonder why. It seems like it'd be a lot of fun knowing your norn is a uniquer right off the bat.

Haha, my Grendel is a loner xD
And apparently he eats pyrethium when he's lonely. (what does that do again...?)
Edit: Just noticed that Morgan died. The grendels in this run have no hope now, if she was the only female grendel in the world... |

Kay... So Glycotoxin giving glucose is a no, and I presume a Highlander would be a no too XD

Gen 1 norns in C3/DS can have mutations, it's just fairly rare.

Wait, they can? I thought they'd "sterilized" it. That's cool, I'll have to keep an eye out for it. |

It can happen alright. I had an Amphibious Draconian Norn that couldn't walk after a while and couldn't process nutrition. I also believe she was sterile.
Edit: By the way, clone Achrenos before he dies, pleeeease? If i ever get Albian Years, I wanna mess arund with him. ![[ntongue] [ntongue]](/images/smilies/emot_tongue.gif) |

I'll just leave the file there indefinitely.
Speaking of mutations in C1, do Genetics Kit creatures have them? |

|
12/27/2012 | |
You can MAKE Genetics Kit creatures have them! I should show you guys Nani, the test tube Highlander. Alhough I've never had a Genetics Kit creature have a mutation that I didn't put there though, so I'm guessing no. However, since the genes are mutatable, there's a chance their children can have mutations.
Edit: Though I've only ever used a virgin birth. Never once have I actually used other Norns as parents... I should try this...

Are you talking about force-breeding norns with the Preview Kit? I believe that is a yes, since Spotling's website says her mom was breeding grendels and they came out purple. |

A Genetics Kit cross should be able to have mutations, since like Hatchery creatures they're technically second generation. I was talking about the virgin births. I don't imagine they would, but if C3/DS 1st gen Norns can, then maybe. |
