There was once a Shee named Arnold, he was tired of living in a mundane routine. So he went for a walk in an uncharted area of forest. (Much of Albia had not been discovered yet.)
He couldn't help but feel he was being watched as he ventured into the thick brush. Eventually it was time for him to sit and have a well deserved lunch. His sandwhich tasted wonderful, however when he reached for his apple it was gone. This confused Arnold, he assumed it must have rolled downhill. After walking about a quarter mile downhill Arnold came across a clearing.
To his amazement in the clearing was a small creature (about waist hight) feeding it's apple to it's offsring. He no longer desired his apple, but wanted to learn more about this mysterious organism. He slowly approached it, and saw there were about ten in total. There appeared to be three family units living together! He knew they must have some inteligence to lead such social and secretive lifestyles.
In his aw he was spotted by a male who alerted the tribe. They fled into the bushes. Arnold sprinted to keep up with the agile beasts, eventually they came to a series of small nests in bannana trees. Now that arnold noticed it, the norns ears looked like bannanas making them nearly invisible. He decided to name them Bannana Norns. (Norn meant creature of possibility in Shee.)
Over the next few centuries (Shee live for thousands of years) Arnold studied and taught the norns. He also discovered Horse Norns who inhabited fields of tall grasses, pixie norns whose white fur suited them for a snowy climate, and many more. He introduced english to the norns and built them many things.
He wanted them to have a world similar to his, so he fenced in an area of a few miles and ensured it had a stable ecosystem. Due to destruction of all of the norns natural habitats there were not many norns left. He collected a six eggs and kept them in a hatchery, where they would not hatch until taken out. He used this land to raise norns and their offspring in hopes to continue the norn race. Unfortunately, the odds are not in the norns favor, there are grendel, diseases, and much to learn. Luckily the norns are resilient and with the help of whom ever chooses to give to give them life they will have the chance to live on.
