Sorry for you both
My Gran died of cancer in March 2007, but it is easier to cope after a while...
The best thing you can do to help is join in with events to do with cancer research, etc. and donate.

Just noticed this:
You posted this on march 3rd.
It says tomorrow, is the 4th of february.
Today is march 3rd, tomorrow is march 4th, not february 4th....
If I can remember, my grand father on my dad's side had skin cancer, yet died of a stroke...
My grandmother has leukemia, so, I have a higher chance of getting that.
Oh, and when in kindergarden, I had a scist, which, from what I learned, is the beginning stages of a tumor, before it can be considered a tumor.
It was in my stomach, and the operation they did, well, to remove it, and stop it from growing back, they had to remove my gall bladder.
The pain I felt in my stomach every day hurt so badly, it was just so painful, it felt like I was dying.
Funny thing, I was afraid of surgery, and I learned that if it wasn't removed asap, the scist would have killed me.
Currently I have a large scar across my belly, a few centimeters above my belly button.
I got to see pictures of it, it looked a bit like coral, or a futuristic city, and it branched off in certain places, with many spheres in several places.
The weirdest part was, they said they would have to destroy the scist, I don't know why they'd have to destroy it.
I personally think it would be cool to hold the scist inside a tiny jar, preserving it, yet in a way that it could still grow.
It would be awesome, just to see it up close!
I hear kids who get their tonsils removed have a choice of keeping their tonsils, via preservation in a jar.
It's much more likely that I'm able to get skin cancer and leukemia thanks to my dad's side of the family....
EDIT: It's spelled Cyst.
Oh, and this is the wikipedia entry (part of it):
"A cyst is a closed sac, having a distinct membrane and division on the nearby tissue. It may contain air, fluids, or semi-solid material. A collection of pus is called an abscess, not a cyst. Once formed, a cyst could go away on its own or may have to be removed through surgery."
Strangely, I can't find the type I had.
