yep... you know, that one thing that you never mention to most people because you just get blank looks or way too many questions. let's talk about that! (and no, anime and manga and video games don't count, those aren't weird)
for me, it's fiddle music. yeah, i know, it's that one weird thing, right? i take part in fiddle contests, which basically allow "texas-style" fiddle players to showcase their skills. it's far easier to just have you listen than explain, so if you're curious check out my best friend playing a round in my state's championships. and hey, if you look close, you can see about 1/4 of me on the right side of the stage blabbering into the mic. haha. i don't play myself, but i've emceed the colorado state championships for a couple years now and i really dig the music.
so tell me about the weird stuff you're into. the weirder the better! i know you guys must have some other odd hobbies, we are all on the cc after all

If I wouldn't tell anyone else about it, what makes you think I'm going to tell you?
J/K. Really, my entire existance on the Internet under this pseudonym is kept secret from my real life friends and family, with the exception of my best friend... and on occasion my mum. So, basically no one outside the web knows I write Futurama fanfiction and draw Creatures fanart and have been a member of Subeta for three years and am currently contemplating auditioning for an online musical based on a video game about lawyers. I get enough crap for being me as it is; the less people know about my "quirks" the better, it seems.

1. Absorbing/assimiating all potential knowledge, and all knowledge around me.
(AKA, knowing everything)
That is my purpose.
2. Necromancy. I'm interested in what we know as a dark art. For me, it's not dark, it's just been used for evil. I'm currently majoring in it at an online university (I don't know how to get the credits, dang credits only obtainable at official workshops).
3. Despite being male, I am very into being a parent/care taker. I am very, motherly. I have an innate ability and instinct to take care of all life as I see fit.
4. My lack of the violent nature. I am not very violent, but when pushed or if needed, I will be excessively violent and damaging.
5. Understanding why I have an old soul. I seem to be attracted naturally to things like classical music, music boxes, antiques, curios, obscure, ancient objects, etc.
I have many more, I've gotten weird looks on why I'm interested in these things.

I suppose there's the superfan obsession I had with Alan Rickman for about 7 years. During that time I:
Joined an online fangirl society called 'The Rickmaniacs'.
Didn't rest until I'd collected every one of his films available. All 34 and counting!
Truly believed that one day we'd meet and subsequently he'd marry me.
My knowledge of film quotes was excellent, so I'd try and slip one into most conversations.
Went to his Q&A session in London with a fellow 'Rickmaniac', sporting our homemade "Severely Snaped" T-shirts, where we devastatingly missed meeting him in the foyer (because we had to use the bathroom).
Had about 1,000+ images of him on my computer.
Grinned inanely whenever he appeared on TV.
Bought a truly awful film called 'Judas Kiss', just because he's in it.
Screamed and burst into tears in the middle of the Sixth Form common room when I recieved his autograph in the mail!
Had an unhealthy fixation with 'Professor Snape'.
Was an encyclopedia of Alan Rickman knowledge. I could tell you whereabouts in London he lives, when his birthday is, what his middle names are, what his girlfriend is called, what she does for a living, how long they've been together...
Amongst other things... Yeah, I'd say all that was pretty weird for some bystanders. I still have an ornamental bust of Professor Snape in my room; I put a mini Santa hat on it at Christmas. |

That is awesome (er, the autograph part at least). And also reminds me that one of my unofficial life goals is to get the autograph of every recurring VA from Futurama. I have no idea how I even begin to accomplish this (though I'm off to a decent start).

I made a "server" for Unreal Tournament 2004, and before you say "But that's a video game! How is that weird?" Get this:
It's offline.
I downloaded all sorts of diffrent skins and added them in as "bots" (So you can actually play offline and still have stuff going on), it went to point where I actually began tampering with the gamefiles and made each one behave diffrently according to which character they are (Like one skin is Spongebob and I made him act just like he does in the show, for example)
I also named each and every one of them, and gave each one a "voicepack" (One of the simplest yet pontentially funniest things in the game) and even a set level with stats and abilities for each one. I even got them (Well, the ones on my team atleast, I can't see what the enemy says) to say stuff to eachother and about the chaos going on, it looks cheap, but it's actually really effective.
They are still pretty dim, do really stupid stuff sometimes and don't really got alot to say, but then you go onto to a real online server and figure out that most actual players for this game are this dumb and say the same 50 things over and over aswell.
Actually, I think bots are smarter than most of the players I saw online.
Other than that, I got a whole map rotation and everything, custom weapons, vehicles, sounds, textures, death messages, I even changed the menu. Unfortunately I cannot play online anymore cause I changed the default gamefiles, but that's the entire point of my "offline" server, it REALLY does feel, sound and play like you are on a real server! It's also fun as heck.
If that isn't one of the weirdest things ever, I don't know what is. I mean, I know alot of people do this, but not with this ridiculous level of dedication to it.

Heh, then I must be an incredibly ancient soul, one of the few things that interest me are other worlds (And not just other, but really *really* diffrent, like, elemental planes or naturally formed techno jungles!) I find this world alittle too "tame" for my tastes, or maybe I've just been here too long? I've always felt I've had atleast a 2-3 past lives, so that's another +1million on the weirdometer for me.
But liking REALLY OLD stuff isn't that weird, it was new once! Besides people think I'm weird for liking old 50's/60's/70's/89's music instead of the latest teen bands (I'm only 17, but people often called me an "80's child" when I played UT2004 online, I would force them to hear my music, I wasen't even BORN then hahaha.) |

Zesvo, that UT4 sounds great!
Oh, and yeah, I have an old soul.
It almost feels like I've had hundreds of past lives.
Sure, I like certain things, such as old tings, like old music.
Oh, and when I said old soul, there's more to it.
I'm also a soul that enjoys and understands nature, not exactly the out doors, more, the animals and plants of nature.
It's likely that if I've had past lives, I've been not only a human, but I've been an animal, or maybe even a plant.
Coincidence, my dad has a bunch of weird friends, hypnotists, palm readers, artists, musicians, detectives, you name it, he's probably friends with one.
One I know, she's a psychic, she's kind, she's just great!
She knows how to read palms, she knows how to do a bunch of things.
If I want to find out if I've lived a past life, I'd probably go to her, or a friend of my dad's.
What supports my old soul thing, is that I get along (pretty well), with the elderly, especially those ages 30+, though, the younger said person or thing is, the more intelligent they must be, or the more, open minded they must be.
I may only be 13 (turning 14 on 1/26/2010), but, I'm highly intelligent, and sometimes, I'm a bit wise.
Another weird thing I'm into:
Well, I like haunted places. I sometimes feel, a deep, and, strong connection to the dead. I also, like being near cemetaries, grave yards, houses or homes said to be haunted (I love the really old, haunted mansions the most, but a big house that's haunted is something I can love too!).
I want to live in a home where it's been said to be haunted.
I want to live with ghosts and demons.
I want to feel their presence.
I want to communicate daily with them.
I want to experience the hostile, kind, etc., spirits.
I want to establish a connection with those around me, ensuring they understand my home is a haven, and I will not force them to leave, unless they are hostile to me without any reason.
My mind and soul are strong, so, I believe no spirit will be able to possess me without difficulty.
My body may not be physically strong, but I possess power of mind and soul, to where I won't need physical strength.
If I must rid my home of a spirit, I will be kind, and understanding, I will give it a chance to behave, a chance to leave, and then, if I am forced to make them leave, I won't excorcise them, I will find other ways to make them leave, without destroying them or purging them.
What is really strange is, I don't really know what compels me to be interested in this, or want to do this.

Guitar modding. Anyone can play a guitar, but there's only a niche group of modders.
My first mod was to put a Telecaster neck pickup in an acoustic, and I wish I still had that guitar because it sounded absolutely magical. Now that I know a little more I'm making another one of those as soon as I get the money.
My most recent finished mod is a pickup on an acoustic violin, but I'm also working on two Strats (one to be wired as a Jazzmaster, the other a Strat/Les Paul/Esquire hybrid) and a Jaguar.

While I am typically very Humanities/Social Studies oriented in school, I have a passion for astronomy. Not in a, "lets go look at the sky" way, but in a, "wow, I want to learn all about black holes and galaxy formation and how the universe came to be" way. I loooove space specials on tv, and was terribly disappointed when my astronomy professor ran out of time and did not get to teach us about black holes. Anything hypothetical about space and travel and the nature of the universe, and I'm all over it!

*looks it up*
The guy who thought of it, sounds interesting. He's czech, you just know this will be interesting.
*Reads stuff*
It's, so interesting!
To be honest, I almost don't understand it (mainly because we haven't studied this type of stuff yet*).
*In 8th grade, and, well, because of our previous substitute, we haven't really learned all we could have, we've only learned a small bit, which, with each different sub, we review what we reviewed with the last sub, which we learned from the first sub of the year. (So, we end up learning what we just learned, in different ways, and more in-depth. It's an endless cycle, especially because we have no set, permanent teacher for science this year, like last year).
Though, we have learned basics.
Like how electromagnetic energies, move in waves.
EX: Sound, light, etc.
I'm having fun in science so far!

((Scoota94, you play The Sims 2, too? That's one of my favourite games aside from Creatures.))
And now something weird...something...aha!
I have these rainbow coloured stripy socks that are really outdated but they're my favourite pair because all my other socks are boring and the lolly stripes are colourful and fun. I wore them (pulled up to my knees) for ten pin bowling the other night. *grins* My mum and sis told me to push them down (way down) and were kind of shocked I wore them at all. Mua ha ha! I have kept them since high school and like to pull em out every now and again for that reason.
I'm keeping them until A: they wear out
or B: something better and nicer comes along which I can replace them with.

Hmm....let's see.
Like Rainbow Cat, I too, have a fascination with space and the universe. But not only that, I love anything out of the ordinary. That includes cryptid animals like the Loch Ness monster or my favorite, the Jersey Devil. I love speculating how it hides because I know it's not a hoax, it's been seen for years and even in this age people have sighted it. I know I'd be scared out of my mind if I encountered it myself though. XD
I also like nature to the point where I just feel insanely at peace when I'm in a natural environment, but I guess that's nothing unusual.
I have a habit of wanting to drink something always at the computer. Take tea for example, stuff like Snapple and AriZona, I drink glass after glass or bottle, etc, until I run out. It's really weird. I guess I get really thirsty sitting down for so long.

Though, partially, I feel like converting the game club at school I belong to, into some type of SOS brigade similar to that of the anime, and, I have a feeling things would turn out like the anime.
That's the point, she's so bored, but, she's surrounded by unusual people, but, because she's god, they can't tell her, because of the fear of what could happen if they told her.
