Fourteen Needles was born during a grendel wolfling run, and is descended from a mixture of various CFE grendel breeds (Jungle, Banshee, Boglight, Mosaic, and Sulfur). He also has a little Vagabond Grendel in him.

At the time of his birth, I was busy trying to integrate a fresh set of firstgens to the run, and he was born to replace one of the firstgens. I was more concerned that the firstgens wouldn't be able to integrate, and so exported him and thought nothing more of him.

But some 10-20 generations down the line, I discovered all the grendels in the run had become immortal. The cause was the aforementioned Vagabond Grendel genes; Vagabond Grendels aren't CFE and thus have mutable aging genes, and one of these genes had mutated to be in only 1 out of 8 grendels.

It looked as if the run was over and I'd have to restart all the way from Gen 1...but then I remembered Fourteen Needles. I checked his genetics, and he thankfully completely lacked the mutated aging gene and in fact had entirely unmutable aging genes. From him, I was able to breed a new population and save the run. In honor, I zipped him up and uploaded him here for others to play with.

He comes with the four gen 1 females I bred him with. They all have a modified CFE grendel genome (short version: they have some CFF edits as well as extra pigment and pigment bleed genes), though they vary in appearance. One is a C3 grendel, one is a Banshee grendel, one is a C2 to DS Boney grendel, and one is a C2 to DS Bulbous grendel (the latter two aren't in CCave's breedlist as of this writing).
