Creatures 3 aquarium patch C3 Arnout | 3/1/2018 | 10 |
type | Misc | author | Arnout | updated | 3/2/2018 | version | 1.1 | A series of bootstrap files that should greatly increase the chance for life in the aquarium to flourish. This patch also allows Creatures to interact with most of the flora and fauna, and to eat the seeds of the seaweed and sponges. For more information: See the text file in the zip.
Comment here if you come across any errors. |

My pack is far older than Arnout's here, and from what I remember it's missing a few interactions that this pack has. Plus some things in mine are coded a little awkwardly (like the cuttlefish).
The two packs are mostly mutually exclusive just because of the nature of .cos files. You could probably use the coral and algae from mine with this one, and I think mine had some changes to non flora/fauna (namely the sea elevator) that this pack doesn't have.
I personally would recommend using this one over mine due to the age of mine and the fact I'm considerably less likely to update it. It's ultimately a matter of personal preference, though.

There's an updated aquarium .cos pack by Yomegami
(Under Creatures @ CU7 Agents) maybe if this doesn't seem to be fixing the problems that might be better (it also has algae and corals that were unused sprites in the final game.)
I don't know how well they'll interact if you've already installed this one though.

Yes and also the sponge spores and seaweed seeds!

Does this make the fish correctly edible?

I lost the golden sharks in the left-side aquarium, does this patch bring them back?

I feel that the men-o-war are still a bit overpowered, the right aquarium tank still becomes empty of fish after some time. I might tweak those a bit more and then upload version 1.2.

Oh, man, not for mine. Reliably, any time I've come back to the room and discovered a mass die-off of the population, clownfish have always been and are still the one surviving species. Nemo won't leave me alone.

Interesting! In my worlds clown fish are the ones that I see the least.

For the life of me, Neon and Angel Fish still won't survive for me even with this patch, no matter how many adult orange corals are throwing seeds around, but it definitely made a huge difference with the Clownfish and Handlefish. And I had no idea the Man-O-War actually grabbed fish and held them as it drifted around, which is slightly horrifying.

Looks like I forgot to put the readme back in with 1.1. It's back in now.
