The smaller male Angler grendel is reliant on female grendels for nutrients. This is based by some anglerfish species' sexual parasitism. The female Angler grendel feeds on critters and bugs, make sure they have plenty of edible prey. Angler Grendels can synthesize their own Vitamin C. They look best in the Deep Abyss metaroom. Life span ~ 3 - 4 hrs 30min with babysitting. I think the breed is good enough to be released in this state. Tell me if you have any issues. Happy New Year everyone. Having played around with these guys (or at least grendels using their spriteset), I have to say I absolutely adore them. This kind of fishlike grendel is straight out of my younger self's dreams. However, I have to note that they have two major issues, both stemming from the size of the adult females. The first issue is that adult females don't fit properly into the vehicle the Swimming Agent uses to simulate creatures swimming. As a result, they have much more problems interacting with objects while swimming. The second, and much more pressing, issue is that they're big enough to not fit into the default sprite allocation and as such females will immediately crash the game upon reaching adulthood without the use of a patch (like Verm's Bigger Sprite Allocation). EDIT: Having done more testing, it's specifically the heads that take up too much space. Anglers that have heads from other breeds but are otherwise 100% Angler don't crash, but a creature with an Angler head will always crash without a patch regardless of what other sprites it's using. So if there's ever another version, I think both of those are well worth looking into. | |||||||||
