| At first glance, Vibria looked like a grendelchi with odd scales that looked vaguely like a banshee grendel's. However, she was actually a dragon - a desert dragon, to be specific.
She once believed herself to be an ordinary grendelchi, but as time went on the evidence to contrary kept piling up to the point where she could no longer believe herself when she said that. She eventually came to the conclusion that she was a dragon, but she never learned what exactly that was. The one creatchi who could tell her that was long dead by the time she actually became bold enough to face her.
Regardless of species, she was relatively friendly. In her youth, she had a strong habit of hoarding various objects, particularly gems, for reasons she learned were tied to her real species. She didn't take well to being bullied or otherwise bossed around, and never liked to see it happen to others either.
Her life was a long and definitely not dull one. In her first couple days, she met her future husband Sentinel and was forcibly removed from her birthing home by an older dragonchi, Dracona, who believed she was intruding on her territory. Although she definitely raised a stink while it was going on, Vibria got over it relatively quickly and found herself a new home, which she shared with Sentinel.
The two went on a few adventures together to find such things as gadgets and gemstones. When Vibria finally learned that she was no grendelchi, she decided that it was time for things to come full circle and went back to Draconoa's territory to challenge her. Unfortunately, Dracona had died long before Vibria became old enough to face her. The journey wasn't completely in vain, however, as Vibria took a spellbook from the deceased blue one's hoard.
The tail end of her life was a peaceful one; she spent time with her husband, cared for her two unhatched eggs, and studied Dracona's spellbook whenever she had a free moment. In the end, she left the book behind for her children. She died peacefully, and she was given a gravestone by her husband Sentinel.
Such was the life of the dragon who thought she was a grendel. May she rest in peace. |

Sentinel takes their departure as his cue to leave, and happily heads in the opposite direction as them at first. He can't help but turn around though, Dragonchi are just to interesting to watch.

emmet says HELLO to vibria
would you be my friend?

After seeing Vibria's reaction, Dracona can tell she hasn't heard the last of this. She'll be doing extra border patrols for now.

Vibria is not shy at all at showing her displeasure at being moved without her consent, squirming, growling, and scratching at her tormentor the whole way. However, her only response upon finally being dropped is only an annoyed glare in the blue one's direction.
Despite appearances, it isn't the forced move that angered her. She had no idea what a territory was, but she really didn't want to share one with a grouch like this anyway. No, what set her off was that she was separated from her hoard.
At this point though, she definitely isn't going to be able to get at it while that blue one is still standing there. With a final annoyed glare and a growl, she turns away and trundles off.

Vibria's confused look just ticks off Dracona even more. "Very well then. I'll have to deal with you" she growls, then shifts, picks Vibria up, and takes her to the very edge of her territory.

Sentinel, seeing that the dragonchi is distracted for a moment, climbs up a nearby tree to glare at the two of them from a safer distance.

The roar definitely gets Vibria up. In fact, it makes her jump two feet in the air and then does her best to shield her hoard from thieves.
As she realizes her hoard isn't in danger, she gives the newcomer a stupidly innocent stare. It's pretty obvious she has no idea what the blue one is talking about. As far as she knew, she was born here, or somewhere near here.
She also notices the red male nearby, but she doesn't seem to pay him much attention. Her focus was on the loud (and somewhat obnoxious) blue one.

|
Not sure what else to do, Sentinel instead bares his teeth and growls at her as best he can. He doesn't understand what she just said, but doesn't like the hungry look in her eyes.

|
Suddenly, a blue dragon drops down from the sky and lands right in front of the two! The dragon roars, blows fire, then shrinks down into a blue female grendelchi. She speaks in a terrifyingly angry voice "You, golden dragonchi, what are you doing in MY territory?!" then turns her head to Sentinel "You'd best get out of here, creatchi. I'm not sure about this hatchling, but I know I'd love to have you for dinner..."

|
When Sentinel finds her, Vibria is sleeping quite contentedly on top of a pile of shiny trinkets she either found or pilfered from other creatchis. She doesn't wake up even when he gets close; she must be sleeping fairly deeply.
Surprisingly, her hoard doesn't seem to consist of much gold, as one would have expected from a dragon (though she is just a baby). Most of it seems to consist of rocks, eggshells, and more than a couple gadgets.
