Unfortunately for her, she was anything but. Whenever she was around, an odd, haunting melody played in the minds of any other Creatchi nearby. It was, in fact, the very same song that accompanied her ancestor Saya. Why it came back despite Phantasm's normal birth circumstance was a mystery. Perhaps she inherited some of her mother's mysticism. Unlike Saya initially, Phantasm was able to hear this song. Considering that for her it played nearly all the time, she spent a lot of her time trying to figure out how to make it stop and keep it that way. She never had much success in that endeavor; in fact, her attempts usually just made the song play louder. She at least tried to be nice to other Creatchis, although she has a bit of a grumpy streak (possibly due to sleep deprivation) and she didn't take too kindly to anyone who asks about the music. Although the song never stopped following her around, she got her wish of a normal life. It was a long and fruitful one; she settled down with a wonderful black grendelchi named Nacht and they had a son and a daughter together. Their daughter Icicle went on to breed herself, and Phantasm was happy to hear the news that she had a living grandson by the name of Fungus in the last hours of her life. Her death was a peaceful one, and now she has joined her ancestors in Silicon Heaven. Maybe there she'll learn the true identity of the song. |

Hircine tracks down a familiar smell, and drops into a crouch when he finds it. He pounces on Phantasm's tail happily. He bounces and pounces on it like a kitten with string. | |||||||||||||||||||

Gummy Bear smiles up at Dastia "Hi aunty D." he says grinning | |||||||||||||||||||

Dastia sees Phantasm's gesture and says "My name is Dastia". Then she notices her nephew Gummybear and is amazed by how much he's grown since she last saw him. "Gummybear? My my how much you've grown! You were no bigger than a teddy bear the last time I saw you!". She ruffles his hair, turning it into a mess. | |||||||||||||||||||

Kytoril hears loud talking coming from somewhere, so he goes to find the source of the noise. He finds Phantasm, but he's startled by how many Creatchis are here, and the only one he recognizes is his daughter. He takes the chance to hand her a teddy bear, while he's here, and then retreats a bit to watch the other Creatchis carefully. Then, he notices the song. The melody reminds him of Lina, but it comes from much further back. He isn't quite sure how he knows that, though. Something odd seems to be going on, so he decides to stay nearby, watching from the bushes. | |||||||||||||||||||

Spearmint comes stumbling out of nowhere but leaves pretty soon. | |||||||||||||||||||

Uno holds his hands up apologetically and wanders off. He doesn't mention that he sees, what he figures, is Phantasm's ancestor behind her. He vows to take a good nap somewhere else. Obviously seeing ghosts means he is sleep deprived. | |||||||||||||||||||

Phantasm takes a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down before continuing. "Not exactly," she says, "This song you're hearing? Imagine hearing it all the time, without any way to make it stop playing. That's what I have to put up with." The legend the older grendelchi proposed is certainly an interesting one, especially considering the song's general tone. Unfortunately, she doesn't get to comment on it before more creatchis showed up. With an eyeroll and a sigh, she turns to the first one that appeared. "Gummy Bear?" she repeats, not certain what to think of a ridiculous name like that. She thankfully knows better than to make a snarky comment about it and instead says, "Not to be rude, but you kinda barged in on the conversation I was having with...um...." She motions to the grendel she was just talking to, having realized that she never got a name for her. "...But anyway. If you must know, my name is Phantasm." Then there's the elderly norn that needs addressing. Instead of saying anything to him, however, Phantasm instead mumbles under her breath, "Why am I so popular all of a sudden? What did I do?" | |||||||||||||||||||

Uno wakes up with a snort from his nap and sees the crowd of Creatchis. With a yawn he walks up slowly, feeling old for the first time in his life. He waves and says: "So what's a group of young-ones talking about in such beautiful weather like todays?" | |||||||||||||||||||

Dastia bites back an insult, forces her smile to stay on her face and says to Phantasm "Let me rephrase that, the tribe of Nornchis who discovered the song. No one actually knows who created the song. I wonder who it's following? Legend says that the song is a side effect of being watched by a dead ancestor. Of course, legends aren't exactly reliable. Why so grumpy little one? Someone take your toys away?" | |||||||||||||||||||
