I don't know if anyone's made this parallel, but does nobody remember just how much of a hassle bio energy could be in creatures 3 at times? Having coins/ect be generated passively and all you have to do is mouse over them doesn't sound nearly as bad as having to go and drag things around to be recycled in order to make anything new on the shee ark!
Well I'm really glad to see that a recorded video was finally released since I missed the last live stream.
The different environments look really cool, and I'm glad to see that the beach world has an underwater area. It's also nice to see that underwater creatures will be built into the game, since previously they've only been available as 3rd party add-ons (if I remember correctly).
I too found the volume of the coin collections to be too loud, and I absolutely love the background music so I would prefer if there was a way to disable or turn down the volume on that aspect, while keeping the other sound effects intact.
Otherwise I think the video is pretty exciting. The game seems to have more depth that we initially thought it would, and it seems like things have come along quite smoothly. I'm excited to be able to play it someday.
It would be nice if food types would have nutrition variance (which is super simple to do in code). Apple 1 and Apple 2, even if from the same tree, will not contain exactly the same nutrients.
XP/coin stuff is a huge turn-off for me.
Wolfling runs look like they're discouraged by design. I really hope this is just my perception and not the intent.
The aesthetics are pretty neat and I am glad it is becoming accessible for a wider range of people. I just do not like how "phone-app-y" or Faceblerk-game-y it is.
I think I may end up passing on this entirely, *especially* if it requires you to sign up for social accounts.
I also found the XP/coin sound effects disruptive... I hope they lower the volume. I wouldn't want to lower or mute all the sound effects, just the XP/coin ones. Seeing coins fly over a norn's face while you're focusing on them is also a bit off-putting.
I do really like the aesthetic design, and the little nods to the previous games. I'm looking forward to examining the biologies of hybrid norns. It looks like edible objects have set nutritional values (unlike C3), so I'm assuming that the differences in dietary needs will be based on differences in metabolism?
When someone types whole sentences in capital letters, they become difficult to read and are seen as shouting, which is why it's frowned upon here. You can refer to the rest of the website rules here.
I honestly don't mind the game, judging from the footage we've been shown. I do think, however, there is perhaps a little bit too much emphasis placed on in-game currency than there ought to be. I'd also prefer it if the coin and XP collecting wasn't as loud.
It's okay to have an opinion, Puddini, but I'd be careful because your comment is veering on the side of being rude. Giving some constructive criticism is always better than calling something dumb.
I can't watch the video, but I understand the progress thing. Even though it's taking a long time to finish the game, people won't play it because of being EHMAGERD so kiddy and bright and dumb and Facebooky.
