Experiment: 2026.1
Born: 1/4/26
Death: Still alive!
Eyes: Green
Body: Purple
Scales: Brown
This grendel has been under observation for unusual behavior.
It has been observed carving dots and lines into tree trunks using rocks. Waiting until the grendel was asleeep allowed a closer observation of the glyphs which has lead to some stunning conclusions!
The markings appear to be remarkably similar to some constellations visible through the glass canopy of the ship. Further observations will be required to confirm these findings.
Updated: 1/12/26
After spending a few days observing and researching the markings we have come to the conclusion that they ARE constellations. But are not Human constellations. The constellations that Crab Nebula has been drawing may very well be the last recordings of ancient Shee constellations recorded in her D-DNA. Truly fascinating! Now that I know what I'm looking at...I'm not sure there needed to be a Tea and Biscuit constellation....
Update: 1/23/26
This grendel is getting older. I know, as a researcher, I am not supposed to get attached to my research subjects. But. I can't help but feel like the Ark is going to be a little lonelier once Crab Nebul- I mean. "Subject 2026.1" finally passes. Maybe I'll make a memorial. Maybe she'll rest easier in the stars. Eh, this gloomy behavior isn't like me! Crab Nebula still has some time left! I'll make the most of it too! For both our sakes! Crab Nebula is in the jungle vivarium resting. |
