They can survive on land for quite some time after birth, making it easier to get them to water. Critters are a prominent part of their diet, and they possess the odd ability to generate starch from nothing when underwater.
They use the sprites of the Bruin Norns (Norn A) and the Civet Norns (Norn C). |

type | Genetics Only | author | KittyTikara | updated | 7/5/2013 | website | [view] | Normally, swimming Creatures have a fairly hard time laying an egg, and sometimes won't lay one at all. The Astro Tetras are a bit different, and are CFE Norns. They have an extra organ, the swim bladder, that allows the female to lay her eggs like a normal Norn would. Females will get tired, temporarily loosing the ability to swim. Once they lay their egg, they will be able to swim again. Other then that, they push critter instead of toys, and shouldn't get crowded at all. They also might follow each other like real Tetras.
Included are some starter norns, a few gen 3s, and the .gen/.gno file.
Sprites are the Astro Norns and Aqua Norns. Feel free to use the organ in your own breed. |

type | Genetics Only | author | KnyteTrypper | updated | 6/19/2013 | Various notably aggressive Norn species such as the Hardman Norns, Draig Norns, Sphinx Norns, and Nenya Norns were interbred, as well as infamous killer Norns like Fiona and Quilla. When other factors were optimal, a beautifully-colored Norn created by Anduin was introduced to the genetic strain to give the breed its unique look. The Hunter Norns are also interbred with the generation 44,000+ Norns from Creatures @ CU7 to help in the preservation of what is perhaps one of the oldest bloodlines still existent in the Creatures Community.
While the Hunter Norns get along reasonably well with Ettins and other Norns, they are highly antagonistic to Grendels. Young Hunters literally hop up and down in anger almost constantly, though a good tickling will generally calm them down for a few moments. When they get older they develop a wanderlust, and go looking for some grendels to kill.
Here are the Hunter Norns v.2.2. The Hunter Norns are now suitable for use with either Docking Station or Creatures 3. Thanks to assistance from Dominar of the Mad Squirrel Brigade, the download now includes an egg agent, and a starter pair which can be imported into DS. The genetics have been tweaked to eliminate some of the more blatant errors of version 1 (what can I say - it was my first genetic breed). The egg agent goes in the "My Agents" folder. The starter pair must be imported into the game from DS, and go in the DS "My Creatures" folder. |

Thank you to Vampess for creating the CFEs. |

type | Genetics Only | author | KnyteTrypper | updated | 6/17/2013 | The Onyx Chichis utilize the Hunter Norn genome, but with several changes:
They now use the appearance genes of the standard Chichi Norn. They have been color edited so that as adults they are a violet hue so deep it's almost black. The color genes are also somewhat mutable. In my own testing, after just a few generations I was getting three distinct color strains - violet, blue, and brown.
Finally, their general genetic condition takes advantage of my continuing genetic learning process. They're longer-lived, hardier, and less continually angry than the original version 1 Hunters. I hope you enjoy them. |

type | Genetics Only | author | KC11 | updated | 6/15/2013 | These creatures are a sort of "extra variety" for the Draconian Norns. The Swamp Snappers are a strange purple type of Draconian. They can live in any environment, even underwater, as long as they have one other creature with them; if they are alone for too long, they will die. They like to swarm around other creatures, so you'll often see them swarming around each other. They also like to hunt Grendels, gaining protein from hitting them as well. It is said, in the ancient tales, that the worst punishment a Grendel could receive for a crime is to be thrown into a swamp with hungry Swamp Snappers.
They enjoy wet, warm swampy environments and are slightly more resistant to toxins from a younger age than their fellows. They also age slightly faster, though they still have longer lifespans than a normal Norn. Males are almost completely purple in color, females are dark green with a purple frill.

- Extremely aggressive.
- Comes in four different variants.
- Age fast, breed fast, die fast.
- Maximum mutation rate in appearance genes.
- Uses sprites of Bengal Norns.
I think they may also be CFE based. |
