Creatures Online: Crafting Machine! Malkin | 7/23/2014 | | In this week's Creatures Online update, the team is working on some features which can't be shown because they're still in progress. Instead, we're getting our first glimpse of the Crafting Machine!
It will allow us to get some objects by combining various components, which are released when norns do actions. (For example, watering a plant, using a toy, tickling a critter...) If we get impatient, we can buy the components for the crafting machine with our Golden Eggs, but all the ingredients will be available to us through regular gameplay. |

Yeah don't tell me! The worst is when client wants to choose the name of the game without any research behind. Remember that Master F.I.N.D. game we made for Child Focus? It's just impossible to find it!

Overused terms are fantastic for searching app stores though. all the kids looking for "crafting" games might end up finding this if it's in the product description.
It's not because of laziness that you get titles like "Zombie Farm Puzzle Ville"
Also, call it "goo". Mucus is icky, but everyone loves goo.

I think the term "Crafting" is a bit overused since minecraft.
I'd rather call it a manufacturing machine or a miniture factory to fit the more "gadgety" theme of creatures machinery.

I wish people would take the time to read about game development, intellectual property rights, and relationships between developers and publishers before blaming the people who are working to make their games fun. It's not like programmers, artists, composers, testers, and writers want to make something people will hate.

Puddini, you might like to check out the Joystick article, which discusses some of the differences between C4 (as it was then) and previous games in the series.

@Puddini we are the developer. We have no rights on it. All we can do is suggest things to the publisher. Trust me the studio is doing its best to keep it complex.

but if they care about the community then why is CO different from the old games
|
|
|
See, an open discussion like this proves that FC really cares about the creatures community, even down to what kind of snot we like best

Blue mucus would look like water. But purple is not a bad idea
