 Hi there! I would like to let the community know about Albian Warp, DS Warp system replacement being built by ham5ter and me. Albian Warp is a community replacement for the long-defunct Docking Station multiplayer server. There is no real feasible way to reverse engineer the original server protocol as there are no packet dumps anywhere, so ham5ter came up with a workaround. We are now implementing this workaround so that we can all start sending and receiving creatures (among other things)!We do a lot of our discussion in the forum here, and in the CC Chat. Today, we also opened a blog, where we will be posting significant development updates. Let us know if you have any questions or comments (and please read the forum post to see if it has already been answered)! Super busy! For myself, there's quite a bit of life changes going on. There will be an update soon, though.

I imagine both Ham5ter and cptmashek both have quite busy lives, so I assume they're pre-occupied with other things at the moment, Puddini. However I'm sure the project will pick up pace again as it did last time.

Yay! So happy to hear this  Now... back to getting my Docking Station working again...

I cannot put into words how exciting this is. Docking station was my first creatures game (that I played on my own) and seeing the warp back - even if it's just that little green light - makes me all emotional! | |||
