 Hi there! I would like to let the community know about Albian Warp, DS Warp system replacement being built by ham5ter and me. Albian Warp is a community replacement for the long-defunct Docking Station multiplayer server. There is no real feasible way to reverse engineer the original server protocol as there are no packet dumps anywhere, so ham5ter came up with a workaround. We are now implementing this workaround so that we can all start sending and receiving creatures (among other things)!We do a lot of our discussion in the forum here, and in the CC Chat. Today, we also opened a blog, where we will be posting significant development updates. Let us know if you have any questions or comments (and please read the forum post to see if it has already been answered)! OK. Fishing Cactus and BigBen have no rights to anything related to Docking Station, though. I was just curious if you were tying this in with CO somehow, since those companies were mentioned. And if you're going for the correct legal disclaimer from Gameware, you might want to check out this page. | |||

Just out of curiosity, why are Fishing Cactus and BigBen mentioned in the disclaimer at the bottom of the blog? It looks identical to the one on mine and the blogs I've helped out: Just curious if someone is psychic and came up with the exact same wording, too! This is a great project, and I hope it all works out! I played with the warp for only a short time before it went down, so this will certainly be fun. It will take some getting used to, though: Offline play has been going on for so long! Good luck continuing on with it! | |||
