The Albian Warp Client version 0.2.2 has been released!
This release makes a minor change to the Python-based CAOS injector to extend the timeout to infinite, in hopes of preventing the desynchronization of the engine and the client (aka the dreaded, 'e' issue).
If you have any issues with this release, please report them in Issues.

Happy Warping! |
So as many of you may know, this Saturday (the 17th) marks the beginning of the CCSF 2018. To mark this special occasion I have decided to announce a Get Online Day for Docking Station via Albian Warp. During the event I will be releasing a norn named "Warpster" into the warp, and maybe a few other creatures, as a tribute to Warp Week which took place all the way back in 2009. He will be immortal but not infertile, and I will encourage people to screenshot Warpy if they spot him in their world. You can find the releases of the Albian Warp client here.
Because it is a third-party server, Albian Warp requires a small amount of configuration before it can be used to take your worlds online. You can find a guide to setting it up here.
During the event I strongly encourage people to log any errors or problems they might come across with Albian Warp, and to report them either to me or Ham5ter.
I hope everyone is looking forward to the CCSF 2018! I'm certain Layla will do a superb job. |
Hello fellow Creatures Caves citizens! Ham5ter and I have been doing a lot of talking and it looks like ham5ter has started on something amazing. The rewrite of the server is far more elegant and useful than before. We have decided to make it in the style of a web service, so we can expand on the Warp in ways we (until recently) only dreamed of.
A lot of life changes are happening with both of us, but we have made a commitment to having the Warp online and usable as soon as possible. This is one of the central projects for us now.
For more information, you can read ham5ter and my blog post over on the Albian Warp blog! |
Hi everybody!
It's late but it's here! I have compiled a zip file that includes all the barebones requirements to get Docking Station's green light going. This is running a rewritten server and ham5ter's intermediary client.
It isn't pretty, but it gets the job done.

Since I have no access to the Albian Warp webserver, I have temporarily hosted the files and instructions over on WizardSpire Games.
Please let us know of any errors you receive. I am sure this will probably break in glorious ways, so it's important that you let us know! |
It is hard to contain the excitement of working on Albian Warp, and I know that beyond ham5ter and I, there is a good number of the community who are brimming with anticipation! So, here is some news for you:
In the coming days I will be setting up a semi-dedicated AW server to perform some updates and testing, regarding the AW messaging system.
Depending on how well the server stability holds, I will be allowing any enterprising Creatures Caves people to register. It won't be anything fancy, mostly just for testing out the registration and login system outside of us developers.
You can read the details about this and see the current short-term road map, over on our blog! |
Hi there! I would like to let the community know about Albian Warp, DS Warp system replacement being built by ham5ter and me.
Albian Warp is a community replacement for the long-defunct Docking Station multiplayer server. There is no real feasible way to reverse engineer the original server protocol as there are no packet dumps anywhere, so ham5ter came up with a workaround. We are now implementing this workaround so that we can all start sending and receiving creatures (among other things)!
We do a lot of our discussion in the forum here, and in the CC Chat. Today, we also opened a blog, where we will be posting significant development updates.
Let us know if you have any questions or comments (and please read the forum post to see if it has already been answered)!
Oh look, a green light! |
