The Creatures Community Spirit Festival, now just two weeks away, is an annual celebration, with competitions, events and plenty of new addons being made by different members of the community.
This year's festival will be run during the first two weeks of August: Monday August 1st to Sunday the 14th. So whether you just want to join in the fun or perhaps even make a few things of your own to share, jot the date down and we'll see you then!
If you are making something for the day then send your contributions, or details, to Don (admin-at-amberz.net) and Liam (liam.esler-at-gmail.com) asap to be listed at the CCSF website. |
It's Day 46 of the Survivor game and we're down to the last ten players on the Island; namely Laura, ColonelJ, GreenReaper, Emcew, Evilmoo, zareb, Vanya, Officer-1BDI, Karias and Moe. Who do you want to win? Which pair do you want to leave the Island this Friday? You decide! |
Some of you may have fond memories of GEL, the C2 genetic editor by Mike Raiford. Some of you may also remember it breaking horribly on Windows XP.
Well, it's time to dust those memories off, as GEL is back with a patch to make it work on XP! If you're curious, you can also read about how the patch was made. Enjoy . . . |

Plans are underway for Creatures Exodus (Creatures 3 and Docking Station) and Creatures Village to be released for the Mac.
The titles, to be released by the North American publishing company Kutoka Interactive, will be both Windows XP and Mac OS X compatible and should be appearing in the shops September 2005. The games are expected to sell for $19.95 (US) each (around £10), and should bring plenty of new Mac fans into the Creatures Community!

Are YOU ready? |
For the past few days I've been working on a new program: Cookie Maker. It helps you create quirky cookies. Anything that you could manually do, you can now do faster with this, and if you could never make cookies, you probably now can!
I'll stop delaying you and let you go to my site and download the public BETA now.
Enjoy the new program from Insaniac Software! |
I updated my website Albian Universe with some information on the Life Kit #3 project, and added a new C2 COB - Albian Potion.
Go ahead and take a peek over at http://www.toby.helephant.com :-) |
The contest has begun... Watch normally intelligent members of the CC flib dat, wallbonk and kiss-pop to their little heart's content here.
You can still join as a late entrant, all you have to do is send an adult C1 norn c/o Nornish, the gamemaster. |
I'm going to be running a little egg hunt over at Edash's Creatures members section. You need to be logged in to take part, but you may be lucky enough to find one! If you spot an egg that looks like this, quickly click it and you will be in for a little suprise, along with a little reward!
Have a great Easter! |
I hope everyone has a great day today! We have lots of updates to the website for you to enjoy.
First, and most exciting, there's an all new Easter Egg Pack agent that's available for download for Creatures 3 and Docking Station. (Thanks to AquaShee for coding it!)
We also have a new norn with easter colors named Eggy who is available for Docking Station.
In addition, Karias has been kind enough to post an Easter picture in the art gallery, so take a look at that and be sure to add your comments!
There is also an Easter poll where you can give your opinion on the holiday and a forum topic where you can discuss all of these great additions to the website. Happy Easter! |
The Easter Norns for C2, originally created by N.S.G. underwent a major update done by Tafgana and me. Missing life stages were added, black pixels cleared away and they now have a fluffy rabbit tail! They still occupy Geat Slot J. Download the new installation file now at Alien's Creatures World and Happy Easter to you and your norns! |
Did you know that Andrew Barnabas, the original C1 composer, made a whole track of Creatures music? Well he did, and he's very kindly let us host it on the Creatures Wiki! When you're done listening to that, why not visit Bob and Barn and catch some more of their music? |
The images galleries have become their own section (/galleries) instead of just a page on the website. You can now access them through the following URL;
http://creaturescaves.com/galleries
In addition to moving to a new location, the galleries have also been revamped. They are yellow in color and have a custom title image.
In related news, there have been two additions to the "latest" area on the main page: images and polls. You can now see the three latest of each every time you visit the site's index. |
