Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have just been informed by Liam that regretfully, the Aquatilis Caverna project is unlikely to continue.
Liam wrote: I am extremely saddened to announce that Aquatilis Caverna is most likely a project that will remain in the mists of time.
Three days ago, my external hard drive failed to work. I tried many, many times to find the problem, to no avail. Unfortunately, ALL of the new Aquatilis Caverna files resided on that hard drive. As soon as I acquire copies of the other room, I will put them up for download, and if I find other stuff unreleased I will release it.
I am almost in tears telling you this. This project has meant SO much to me. It taught me an enormous amount of stuff, and I met so many beautiful people while working on this room.
Thank you. This site will remain up, as I will post updates etcetera, but officially the project is closed until either I can find the files, my HD miraculously decides to work, or 3d modellers and coders come forward to make new things.
To everyone who worked on this project with me - I love you all. Thank you for everything.
I'm sure this news has come as a shock to everyone, but all we can do is support Liam and the rest of the contributors through this difficult time and hope for the best. Perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel... |
It's getting close to that time of the year again: Survivor! I have finally started coding the website and creating the databases, and while I'm working hard on this, I'd like to ask for a little help from all of you! I need the following before the game can begin:
- A prize for the winner (please don't share wth others, apply for position)
- An opinion columnist (must not be in the game, apply for position)
- A map of the island (both detailed and zoomed out, apply for position)
- An island weatherman (once again, can't be in the game, apply for position)
If you can think of anything else that is needed for the game or have other general suggestions, feel free to message me. Thanks! |
Time is running out to join the C1 I'm A Creature, Get Me Out Of Here!! contest at A2K. There are now just three places left for competitors. All you need is an adult-aged C1 norn and a cob to go with it. You can also donate a cob to the grendel. |
It looks like "something fishy" is going on over at the Corona Development website. If you have been there before, you'll notice the new design changes and images. And if for some reason you haven't, then you'll enjoy the new aquatic images regardless.
At the site you can view information on the team, contact the team's members, view stories and images of their projects, and download agents as well as the Garbage Dump metaroom. |
Big news - Creatures Wiki has become the first Featured Wikicity! Out of the 134 Wikicities on the site, they chose ours to showcase as an "inspirational" wiki that "reflects well on Wikicities as a whole".
The administrators decided "to feature this one since it has developed a far larger community than WikiMac", so this honour goes to each and every person who contributed to the Wiki. All I can say is . . . GO US!
Just because we've been featured doesn't mean that the wiki is anywhere near complete, though, so if you've not yet tried your hand at editing, get on there and start helping out - hopefully there will always be new stuff to add!
Oh, and next time anyone tells you that the Creatures Community is dead, just show them this . . . |
Once more I've created a new look for Amanora's Creatures. Now the page uses PHP includes instead of frames so the sections can be visited or linked directly. I hope everyone will enjoy the new design

I just finished the basics of room 1 of my new metaroom chain, the Bubble Colony, and you can download it now. |
The C1 "I'm a Creature, Get Me Out of Here!!" submissions have opened at C1 I'm a Creature, Get Me Out of Here!! thread at A2K.
If you don't know what this is, it's just like "I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here!" - you nominate a creature to be you in C1 Albia, and every week the viewers will vote on who will go. Please send your entries care of Nornish at A2K. |
There is a new forum on the loose, Land of Nornia/Department of mysteries forums have been created by moi (evilmoo) and are based on the Creatures games. The forums are open to people of all ages, so make sure you come along, check it out, and if you like what you see, sign up!
The forums have existed for some time, but have recently been cleared out and revamped - now it's better than ever! |
...Open to vote for this week's featured Creature! You, the members of Creature Caves have chosen the nominees for this week, and now the polls have opened! Go vote for your pick for this week's Featured Creature, and when you're done that, make sure you drop by the forums to discuss!
Also, get your question capes on, because once we've chosen our Featured Creature, you'll be able to interview them in their very own thread in the forums! |
Why Erin can't use the mainpage I will never know!! Anyway, this from the forum...
Erin wrote: As some of you may remember, waaay back when, we at Creatures Caves used to feature a Caves member every week. Several of us have been talking, and think it would be a neat idea to start this up again.
Every week, members of CC.com will nominate 10 different community members, and post their names here. Please, only nominate a member once.
Once we have 10 or so nominees, a poll will be created, and you can vote for the community member you want to see featured!
The member with the most votes will be chosen each Saturday, and for the whole week, they will be the Featured Creature!
We're hoping to get our first featured member by this coming Saturday - Get Online Day - so nominate a CC member today Check it out! |
And the golden number is the number 5. For the 5th of February, 2005, is the date of the very first "Get Online Saturday!".
Those of you that have been paying attention to Creatures Caves will know that Get Online Saturdays is an idea to prove our loyalty to Creatures to Gameware, and prove that there are still some kids out there willing to buy Creatures products to any prospective publishers.
Check out this thread in the forums for more info! |
Alien has just released the Gargoyle Norns for C2!
The download page, which is in German, also includes a download link for several special new Gargoyle Egg sprites!
Have a look today! |
AquaShee is back! And this time he's aking, what is a doif? Well, incase you were wondering the same thing (it's a CAOS command), he's written an article all about it in his CAOS Tutorial series. So budding developers who enjoyed the first part of the series should rush along and enjoy the second now! With doif you can start making crazy complicated objects that are just too impressive. |
A brand spanking new design, new PHP scripts and swanky new content. I'm talking about The Creatures Forest.
Jamie popped into our very own forums to let us know about the relaunch of his website. He has given it a complete overhaul and come out with a nice new green design, with which we are very impressed! He is also coding the entire site himself, very good work, Jamie.
There's not alot there at the moment, but Jamie assures as that more content and brand new forums are on the way, so check out The Creatures Forest at http://creatures.kookooclock.com/. |
