No worries, Panda! It's always lovely when we do see you in chat. That's a very good point, vampir-maniac: if you click the 'Menu' button in the top left-hand corner and select 'Options', you can choose to adjust the main foreground, title/link foreground and background colours of the chat window. So you could try playing around with the colours for yourself, Malkin. It just seems to be an easier solution when the default scheme isn't affecting anyone else so far. |

I think it's perhaps difficult to explain - but the boundaries of the whole chat can't clearly be seen. The "Menu, Connect" bar is the only way that the chat area is defined, and the place where you enter text can blend in too much to the background. It would be better if the text area for typing was the same colour as the one we use in the forums, if possible, as it would stand out more. I did think that it was just a case of my eyes needing to get used to the new chat design, but I've been using it for a while now and it just isn't getting any easier to use. My TCR Norns |

...Still, have you tried a different scheme for yourself? The chat applet has pretty sliders to let you change everything to exactly the way you want it, so I don't know why it's necessary for Rascii to change the default.  |

Just as a quick update: the Chat page will probably remain down for another two weeks, since the admins in charge of the webchat are on vacation. We're looking forward to seeing it fixed once they're back, but in the meantime, you're welcome to pop in for a visit with an IRC client or using the link here. |
