This thread is where community members come together, stand in a circle, hold hands, and sing Kumbaya (I suppose this is an American cultural reference but feel free to google the meaning).

But seriously, let's all share some things that we love about this community and the members that comprise it. :)

I'll start.

I love the Creatures Community for enduring despite a lack of support for new games and the fact that many of us can no longer play the games due to changes in personal computers since the games were originally released. This on top of the fact that people generally tend to support and help one another regardless of whether they're a newbie who just discovered the games last week or someone who's been around for ages.

I also love the fact that after over 10 years, this site has probably been the most stable thing in my life (other than family). No matter where I am in the world, or what's going on in my personal life, I can always open up my laptop or tablet or mobile device and enter 'creaturescaves.com' into the address bar to catch up with folks whom I've known for many years and see the goings on of the community.

Thanks again for continuing to support the site and the community at large. :)

I've not really been here long, but it was a wonderful thing to stumble upon this place so many years after the Creatures games faded out of public consciousness. The fact of it being so small and tight-knit makes this community feel like a little family, tucked away in some ignored corner of the Internet. It's a safe place, a happy place.

Though few of us Creatures aficionados may remain in this age, we are drawn together at this single locus to share our memories and keep old knowledge alive, like the last remnants of a dying tribe. May it, and us, endure for many more years to come.

Ditto. Docking Station came out in 2001--the community has effectively kept itself going for 15 years now, in the absence of any other release. Gameware even took down the official mall and forum--but like the Energizer Bunny, we're still goin'. And we even create our own new content to make up for the lack of official participation. I think that's fantastic!

I also love how old members still pop in from time to time. How many game series have players who still have enough interest to come back and chill with the rest of the community a decade later?

I love the sheer amount of knowledge and creativity that this community holds. One only has to speak up about being curious about anything and everyone chips in with tutorials, articles and tips on where and how to learn.

I also love that despite having been gone for so long, venturing here, it felt like coming home. And it's a huge part because of all the people on this site making it feel very welcoming and that the site is trying to locate everything you might be looking for in one hub.

And lastly, I love that we aren't defined by loving Creatures. Creatures is our most common ground, but if we speak up about another game or another interest, there is usually at the least one being excited about the same thing, and we are allowed to geek out together on this site :)

I have to echo jcnorn on the knowledge and creativity thing. That's a major part of my fascination with the community. Otherwise I'd prolly just run the games by myself and occasionally download things. I wish I'd realized how much there was to learn and do and create years ago, back when Creatures was still a fairly big thing.

Conclude with killer catchphrase.

As someone who's observed this community for over a decade in silence, I absolutely love how this community endures. There are so many series that I've seen die off or barely trudge on over the years, but this community has continued on since I first discovered it around 2003 when I started looking into information on the Creatures PS1 game.

Had the community not been so amazing and creative back then I may have never developed an interest in getting the PC games!

This is the only community I've seen that's been able to keep a series going for so many years after the last official game was released and I find that absolutely amazing.

The fact that you guys are active is awesome. That is all. :) I just wish I knew someone experienced here to help me with Wolfling runs on C2. I'm realllllllllllly bad at them.

This community is really something. CC has helped me with the tons of mods you guys support, and the posts here aid my playstyle ALL the time. ^-^

I got into the creatures community a very long time ago, when the likes of Helen, Wafuru and Frimlin were still among us, creating amazing stuff and inspiring me to get into game development. Even though the big names I remember have been and gone, I'm still so stoked to see that even after 20 years, the Creatures community is still active- The only other game I know of to have lasted this long has been Baldur's Gate!

I've been here for over 6 years now, since I was 10, and I just want to say that I think it's amazing that this site is still so active.

I'm echoing, but I have to agree on all counts.

This community has been enduring for years and years and seeing it still living on puts a smile on my face. Even better is still seeing some of the names that I saw back in the days of C1 and C2 running around.

I started playing when I was very little (somewhere between 96 and 98) and I've always loved watching this community. I've never seen such a friendly community, nor such a resilient and tight knit community, in my entire life. This community is extremely unique in this, and I think it's fantastic.

I'm running a Creatures 3 breeding experiment. If you'd like to follow me feel free to hit my tumblr up! Breeding Adventure

I love that this community still exists,
We have our own "mythos" so to speak, and I love being part of it(even just a small part). I hope that this community keeps going strong for years to come. Its nice to know there are people out there who are so supportive and love a crazy game from the 90's that most people have never even heard of.
