I have been spending the last few hours creating my own pattern for making Norn plushies; I want it to be as anatomically accurate as possible. This is the first test of the pattern, minus the limbs; I want to see how the shapes look in three dimensions, so I can decide what changes I need to make to the pattern. This pattern test was made with cheap felt, embroidery floss, and sharpies. I was not at all concerned with the quality of the stitches, or seams, because the only purpose was to check the 3D shape. There is only one ear because one is all I needed to see, and there are no limbs because I just haven't gotten to those yet. xD |

I think having just the one ear adds to its adorability. I can't wait to see more progress! And I'd definitely buy one; it's a really nice idea.

Thank you guys! Since it's a lot of work, I'm not sure if I will release the pattern itself. But, I will be making all sorts of preset and custom Norn plushies available for purchase after my pattern is perfected! I have decided, though, that 20 percent of the money from sales of the creatures plushies i make will be donated back to creatures caves (since I remember a while back donations were needed to keep the server up and running). :3

From this test, I can see that I need to change three things. First, this Norn needs more junk in the trunk. xD Its butt is way too flat. Secondly, the belly needs to be rounder. Lastly, the amount of fabric under the Norn's chin was too great, so before taking this picture i reduced it and am now satisfied with the result. ^^ Next up: arms, legs, and a tail! | |||
