 | Part one of my crazy Norny art challenge. I've been practicing tarot lately and thought it would be fun to draw my own cards!
Pictured is XVII - Star. The Star is my favorite card because it represents hope in the face of darkness and despair. I've been needing a lot of hope to see me through my recent troubles.
Go on, discuss science and tarot not mixing together.
Drawn in Sketchbook Pro for iPad. |

Laura: I like mixing the things I like. : D It was bound to happen. I'd also like a pair of cards but I don't think I would be allowed to sell them. XD Maybe I'll do up a script to do (free) online tarot with these images some day. No readings! Just the cards. I wouldn't hold my breath though. XD
Magpie: Swords. XD I haven't been getting many swords lately (cups and pentacles, mostly) but I still hate it when I stumble on the 10 of swords. I've only gotten it once doing a reading for a friend. D:

when it comes to the major arcana i don't mind them being inverse but if a sword automatically comes up in my reading then i just give up and walk off xD i've had enough of swords

Oh wow, Kezune, nicely drawn! It's like two worlds collide; I'd love a pack of Creatures Tarot cards.

@ Kezune:
Yep! I just added the expansion pack yesterday.

Feddlefew: Binding of Isaac? : P It's been a little while since I last played it.
Jessica: Mine are Japanese but follow the Rider-Waite format. There are gorgeous illustrations for the Major Arcana, Ace and Court cards but the other Minor Arcana? Not so much.
Magpie-angel: I don't actually read with inversions as I'm still learning but I do know what they're supposed to mean. ;D I'd rather think of a regular star, not an inverted one right now.

Hah, my first thought was "Yay, I can save a key getting into the item room!".

I have my own deck of Tarot cards, too! I only use them very rarely, but I love the drawings and meaning behind everything. Mine use Greek mythology: I grabbed them in high school, and have a bit of fun with them when they're not in storage! Love this drawing!

i love tarot cards myself, i've always been taught that the star meant hope, wishes coming true. but of course upside down its a different matter. can't wait for the others if you do them
