So I've been practising some more, here are a few sketches together (including the one I posted earlier). I've settled on my main idea, which is half a face of a Norn peeking over (something C4 related -- a leaf? A wall? A golden egg?) with (big!) expressive glossy eyes. I started drawing a Norn peaking over a leaf and then thought I'd take a shot at drawing the rest of his face, hence the scribbly lines and weird tendril in the middle of the picture. He looks like a lemur or similar Earthly beast, and not really Nornish though, so, back to covering up half the face with something else I think. Things I have learned: I need to draw Norns with big, big, big eyes in proportion to the rest of their face to make them look cute. I still haven't worked out Norn noses. Officer-1BDI's tutorial is pretty neat! That is all. |
