I've been watching some scary movies for the past week, but I'm about Halloween-ed out in that department! I live in a neighborhood that's mostly made up of older people. Two years ago I had one trick-or-treater: Last year increased to three. No candy from me this year! The past two years resulted in me eating the leftovers, and that wasn't exactly healthy! As if my ET idea would even fit the theme. They didn't tell me it was the classic Roswell Grays until about a week ago. (No wonder I wasn't getting any materials or stuff to work with!) If I'm not on escort duty I just may end up indoors or tending to the fog machines on our yard display. I stink at acting, so none of that for me. From the depths of Deep Lurkspace I emerge... And suddenly can't remember what it is I came up for.   Lollipop Lord C-Rex     10/31/2013 I went trick-or-treating with my younger sister about an hour ago, and almost every door we knocked on either gave us something or didn't answer. The one exception though was an old lady who lived on an avenue across the road from my house - my sister knocked on her door and she came to the window and started staring suspiciously. Thinking she wouldn't bother, we both carried on walking. When we turned round, however, she was standing outside of her house. Thinking she was going to give us something, we approached her, and she asked us what we were doing. When we explained to her we were trick-or-treating, she stormed off back into her house in a mood. How rude! She could have at least told us that she doesn't celebrate Halloween.   Tarilithina     10/31/2013 Well, the first part of the day was mostly normal. Right now, we're getting last-minute costume stuff done and dressing up. When it gets dark, we'll go trick-or-treating. Costumes: My mother is going as the Headless Horseman (with a metal jack-o-lantern to play the part of "head". She was going to go as Granny Weatherwax from the Discworld, but we could only find one witch's hat, so she gave it to me and went with her other idea. My father is going as Wolverine from the X-Men (he even made claws to do it with). My little sister is going as Jubilee, also from the X-Men. My older sister is going as steampunk. Not steampunk anything, just steampunk. I'm going as a witch, with skill in both magic and melee. Hi!   Spykkie   10/31/2013  1 I bought a new type of cup-o-noodles called "Asian flavor". He's going as a vampire, and I'm dressing up as a witch. I might as well get some free candy too! XD   Tea Queen Laura Administrator     10/31/2013 I don't celebrate Halloween much, apart from a festive icon and a spooky username. I've just spent a quiet evening in watching TV, eating pizza and enjoying the fact I can now relax after a hectic week of working on submissions for the CCSF. I think I must've created 12 agents in the space of five days. I'm glad everyone else seems to have had a fun time! Tell a lie, there is actually a pumpkin in my porch with 'I AM TOM' written on it (don't ask) but my boyfriend and I didn't get around to carving it.
