After trying to breed a smart, curious, and tough norn that could survive in the T. Rex infested Primordia and spread throughout a ship on their own, I tried to create a cool hybrid using these breeds: EVO, City, and Alien Norns. EVO's were supposed to be more creative in their thinking, and City's were supposed to be super interested in teleporters and technology. Aliens were chosen because of their fear of beasts, which the Rexes of Primordia happen to be.
While trying to breed these into a viable bloodline, Flora Norns and Deep Norns got mixed in, which I didn't think were an issue, until the sliders started. Anyone have any ideas here? I want to start over with just the original three breeds I was using, but I'd like to prevent running into this issue in the future. Was it the Flora norns? |

it was probably the flora norns, yes - all of amanora's breeds' default genomes will produce sliders when bred with other genomes |

Alternatively, Evos are based on the CFF genome and City Norns are CFE (CFEm if I recall specifically). That could have played poorly with each other, but if the Floras were the original genome they're the more likely culprit.
There's both CFF and CFE remakes of the Flora norns (and the other Amanora breeds), if you're dead set on including them. I know at least one of those (CFE I think) I had to throw together an egg agent for my own use, though, because it only came with starter norns, not an egg agent.
EDIT: And if you mean the Alien breed I'm thinking of, I think they're default starting genetics, not even CFE. Breeding default and Evo together could go badly. |
