So I've had a recent recurring (and very annoying) issue using Elevines. Lately, if I have multiple levels of elevines, and a norn "pulls elevator" on the top one, and I can CONFIRM using CRC that he is in fact pulling elevator, it will sometimes-but-not-always just...bzzt at him, as if there's no elevines below it. And deleting the elevines and putting a new color in won't fix it (except sometimes it does). Same thing happens sometimes-but-not-always when pushing/pulling other elevines in a series, it doesn't seem to matter which elevine it is.
If it happens, for instance, at the top of a three-level elevine family, deleting and readding the top elevine won't fix it...but deleting and readding the one the norn is trying to reach often will. I know the elevines are self-resetting in a way to keep norns from spamming them, and it's almost like they sometimes don't "heal" properly.
Worse, even if I go through and test all the elevines in a room (which is a lot, with something like Biodome), it still won't guarantee no problems, because later on I'll find them broken again. And there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it; I'll spawn some, test them, it won't work, delete, spawn, test, delete, spawn, test, and then eventually one of them will HAPPEN to work...until it stops working. R.I.P. poor giraffe norn who had to spend three hours just pulling elevator for me...
I don't see how it could be an agent problem because I've used them for ages before this ever started happening, but it's driving me nuts. I had to use the Biodome the other day with nothing but Torii. Endless, endless amounts of Torii. Is there some way I could have...I don't know, installed a script that conflicted somehow? I swear, they USED to work for me. |
